So glad some of you have had positive experiences - looks like is worth applying for.

Sister wants to wait 'til after Christmas as has four children with many school friends/commitments coming up & is now getting dark early ... so ... actually good news for me as own provisional will have arrived by then (YAY!!!!) so we still may be able to do together - hopefully chocs. (mmm. yummmy, any freebies?) so to speak of (!!) AWAY!!!!!

... yep ! - we have had the ususal doubts from OH's, fathers and even brothers. Nice really to known they gen. care but is just something we want to do and looks totally safe ............

.... I take my 'helmet' off to seasoned riders - am sure you have great time.

Pip, tell your overprotective family to get over themselves!! That's what I did. If you are a sensible person, have good training and become a vigilant rider you can do the best to keep yourself safe.

I am a 5'2" female (i'm also asian, so you can imagine my family's reaction) and I ride a 650cc bike (see: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_t9QLu5SITiw/SZoJqV1Id-I/AAAAAAAAA24/1MKaXA5AlE0/s320/DSC03599.JPG

So yeah. If I can do it, anyone can!!!

Just thrifty - I nearly didn't check, but when I put in a Lisburn postcode, I got centres in Lisburn, Belfast, Carrickfergus and Portadown, are none of these suitable? I'm strongly considering booking one...

Just applied for mine, waiting for the call.
The wife is against me riding a bike as she thinks I'll be dead within a week (cos of other drivers), so hopefully I can take her along to watch and maybe be persuaded!
I would love to get her to have a go but she's only got a provisional car license and no motorbike entitlement, I'll ask them but I doubt they'll let her.

C'MON! Let's get this debt sorted!!
  • I did this recently and it was brilliant! The instructor was really friendly and made the experience really enjoyable. It lasted about an hour and all the equipment was provided. Well worth a go! :)
