I'm now sat seriously thinking about applying for college next year. I left school 10 years ago with nothing more then 10 GCSE's and have always wanted to be a midwife, and doing some research on tinterweb have found out my local college do and adults access to education 1 year course which will give me the required qualifications to apply for uni. This whole losing my job kerfufffle (I love that word!) has been making me really consider what I want to do. Aaarrrggghhh I don't know what to do! Gonna have a good chat with MrLouboutingirl tonight about it.

I haven't had time to catch up on the whole thread - seriously 10 pages guys? Give a girl a break!!! - but will sit and read them now with my :coffee:

Greenbee, that would be fab, thanks.

I would go with what the US embassy say - but print off a copy of what it says on the site, rather than listen to hearsay x

Greenbee _ I know when I travelled to America it was said that it would generally depend on who you flew with. As Virgin BA are British then AMerica had an agreement which means that you don't need 6 months on your passport.

I would possibly ring up the airline to see what they say. Make sure you print of details re US embassy though.

    Great idea!

I travel from Egham to Basingstoke daily down the M3, so anything in that area is easy if you can locate it. Just out of interest, is this for domestic use or something else?

Woodstove stuff sorted - emails were getting stuck at one end or the other, so they've now got everything they need and I should have quotes tomorrow!

Now on hold to my broadband provider so I can try to sort out my mail and send from mail/entourage rather than having to use webmail. Lots of little irritating things going off my list at the moment!

ETA - thanks mojt - I'm flying Virgin so hopefully it will all be OK. There's not much I can do about it now anyway, as I leave on Saturday! Do I have to fill in the online form for visa waiver every time I go, even if it says it's valid until my passport expires? It's not exactly clear... I know some of you have OHs who travel a lot, so I'm hoping that you'll know the answers!

Right... while I'm on hold I'll try to get a few more bits sorted. Off to find the governor services website and tell them that I'm not doing an induction course for the second year in a row:rolleyes: and to see if there is anything interesting worth booking!

    Hi all, :j

Well, since completing the list I've decluttered (binned) 10 items from each junk drawer in the kitchen and the junk drawer in the master bedroom!

I think my flying has started to wear off on DD. I sent her and DS upstairs as soon as they got home to clean their rooms and DD is still in there - I went to check (she's very easily distracted) and she was completely decluttering a hotspot ontop of her wheelie drawers! Very impressed. ;)

I must do some shredding tomorrow!

Off to do lunches for tomorrow, sort school bags, sort dinner and get tomorrows clothes ready. After dinner I'll walk the lazy lab and consider decluttering a glass of wine and one Twinks "hobnobs" this evening! I have to use the term hobnob quite loosely because when I first made them I think I made the balls to big and they just grew into one giant Hobnob in the oven . Still somehow tasted delicious and DD, DS and DH referred to it as a flapjack and I've stuck with it :rotfl:. Even dished them out to trick or treaters and they are a regular in lunchboxes!

Hope you're all well. Have a good evening, I'll post again tomorrow!
Hi Newbies, you'll love it on here - I feel like I've lived here for years!

Walked to the hospital and then walked straight back again as they weren't taking any more people for blood tests today even though I was there an hour before they shut! Still I had a half hour walk in total and will do it all again tomorrow!
