I am so pleased you are not asking me to sort through a drawer in DSs' bedrooms. That could be too shocking! No, not that shocking, just festering food etc!

    Afternoon all

    Today's list done.
I did all the bedrooms on Wednesday and I polished in the living room and the computer desk today and vacuumed right through downstairs.

Also "fed" my Christmas cake again.

One load of washing hung round indoors, it hasn't rained so far but it's dull and cold.

    Hope everyone's OK.

Do it when you feel ready and in your own time - it has taken me over 3yrs to get to this point but I feel it is a step forward plus not forgetting them either. For me it is putting feelings, emotions and memories in a place where I can access then rather than floating all over my mind and all over the place to help me not forget but gain some control over my emotions.
Even writing this makes my emotions a little wobbly however this year I am determined to mention the people who are not at our Christmas table and if we weep, we weep, that's ok. In the past I couldn't even acknowledge who wasn't there because it was so painful. Will be different this year and if I cry that is ok too.

Sorry to go on about this so much, just feel I need to get it out today for some reason

Thank you for having the strength to write this as it has helped me a lot. The news this week about care or lack of care for people in hospital with lung disease has brought it all back to me. I can't get it out of my head, the poor state of my father in his last weeks and the lack of staff to care for him.

Last weekend's wedding, they mentioned, both at the service and the reception, all those who weren't with us and that of course brought tears to many of us. I think Christmas is an ideal time to think of and mention those who aren't here with us.

I will also be keeping an eye out for a box to put some bits and pieces in. I have about six boxes of my dad's stuff under my desk, can't get my legs under there when I sit at it! I need some serious decluttering under the desk.

    My list for today.
    1. Order charity Christmas cards
    2. Buy stamps from S'drug
3[STRIKE]. Swim?[/STRIKE]Can't swim asthma is too bad today.
    4. Order wine for C'mas with vouchers
    5. Wrap DS2s pressies
    6. Book restaurant for DS2s b'day
    7. Do some rug making
    8. Wrap 2 C'mas pressies.
    9. Withdraw cash for DS's other pressie
    10. Look for box to put some of dads' and mums' things into.

Did anyone else see the notice for the forum closing for maintenance or did I do something wrong?.......
  • Hi,
An apology to everyone I said would be getting a PM frm me and hasnt received it yet :o- Ive been feeling rather down last few days ( Im trying to get over PND )

Anyway I have still done nothing this week( just one HHC) and my house is creeping bk into mess. Its making me feel worse and I really need a kick up the !!!! to get me going- I would like to get all this weeks level ones done today.. My house looked lovely 1st week I did this- couldnt believe it. Sounds stupid but I feel so much better when the house is reasonable.. was actually enjoying clearing up( saddo I know) I just need the motivation to get going..
  • Anyone fancy a HHC at 1pm?

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Have chased up the woodstove people, so hope to get a quote today... I can then arrange the survey and hopefully have it installed before Christmas :D When I get back I'll have to have another look at my list of things that need doing in the house, and try to make a bit more progress.

I've got all my travel information sorted and booked the taxi, so as soon as my last call is over today (5.45) I'll have to head home, pack (although I won't be able to pick up my suit trousers until tomorrow morning) and make sure the house is tidy.
