Hello, I was wondering if anyone can help me. I sold 4 MJ Tickets on ebay and recieved a cheque for them. When he died I just got the tickets as I presumed the person that bought them would want them plus the credit card that I used to pay for them was my freinds and since then we have parted company. Anyway, I sent them the tickets about a month ago and now they are saying they havent recieved anything and have threatened court action. I have no proof only that my mum was with me when I posted them. I have contacted Royal Mail already and they have said that as I didnt do special delivery there was nothing they could do. Please help me as I dont know what to do.:embarasse:cry:

what relevance is that .... the buyer is saying that they never received the tickets from the OP .... who didn't use special delivery, so I suspect is on a sticky wicket ... don't believe that having your mum with you will stand up in court .....

Surely you (or your friend) have received a refund on four redundant MJ tickets? Therefore the buyer is due a refund?0

It is of no relevance. The matter is being discussed on the E-Bay thread as suggested. I didn't profess to be an expert, sorry if you tuned in to my posts expecting a Sunday night solicitor0 -
OP you have to provide the buyer the tickets or a refund. Given you will have been refunded then why the hell hasnt the purchased.

To the OP, did you state in your Ebay advert that you would be using Special Delivery or Recorded Delivery? Or was it standard post you stated?
If it was standard then I would suggest claiming off of Royal Mail for the loss of the tickets but you can only claim for upto £28 IIRC from them in compensation. I suggest therefore giving that to the buyer as they should have requested a more secure Delivery method IMHO.
If it stated that they are going to be sent by SD or RD then you can claim more but not sure what worth would be placed on something like that now bearing in mind the current circs.0 -
Seeing some of MUMMYTO2BOYS posts tonight it seems she has a penchance for posting useless information. Even more so when the OP mentioned they paid by check in the OP and still proceeds to ask was it by paypal.

Just two minor complaints from your postings this evening Mr Perfect0 -
