Non taxpayer where to get best interst rates

Hi
I am housewife and non taxpayer. My endowment has come to fruition and I have a large amount of money now earning O.o5% in an online bank. I also have an old ISA earning about the same. I don't want to lock everything away incase we need it. Any recommendations for high interst, safe, easy access for both.
