i have recentley been phoned by axis telecom to warn me that since the 1st of september my previously unlimited broadband service was now capped at 5 Gb. and i am about to receive a bill for "overuse" of about £100 with a further bill for octobers overuse to follow.. i have received no notice of this change in the t&c of use and feel that i am being fleeced..i know that axis telecom are a shower and that no one should have any dealings with them, but i was caught out by the small print and the rolling 12 month contract clause.i have been a victim of theirs for 22 months.i have no problem with the money but feel i have been mugged this will not happen...am i a lone victin of this scam.???

Surely they cannot change from unlimited to 5gb??? I know providers sometimes alter their usage allowances but that is such a huge change especially when they also charge you for overusing. I would suggest you log a complaint through Axis by letter recorded delivery. You might as well get the ball rolling if you wish to get out of contract...0

I would say that that is a fundamental changes to the T&C's that would entitle you to terminate your contract with one months notice.
And I don't see how they can apply this retrospectively, they have to give you some notice, not just bill you 2 months later! No free lunch, and no free laptop

ive been with axis now for 7 months they are amazing may have had bad press but they going in the right direction now they had a total reform.
Last months Bill came in at £29.70. I just knocked next months bill down by £4.50 too i rang customer service and i asked a lovely lady i would like to pay by direct debit all done over the phone saved £3 p/m and she asked if i would like to change to internet billing as they are trying to be as green as possible and it saved me a further £1.50 he call was well worth my 2 mins i wanted to stay on the phone talking she was so nice to me but obviously they are a busy company.
I'm going to refer my business next month when the contract ends in three months bonus is i get £25 quid off each bill too.
The actual package i am on before my mobile and international calls is £21.77 p/m for BB, all UK calls and Line Rental mobiles 50p per hour and internationals 15pph
Hope this has helped
:D:)

Hi all! I am actually an employee of axis so would firstly like to appolagise for any issues you have experienced. I know its of little consolation, but all i can say is that the company has been trading for a decade, and unfortunetly, errors to happen. I'm glad to hear, as stated above, that satisfactory rectification has taken place on most occasion. For those still left unsatisfied, feel free to send me your email address and i will gladly look into anything which may be causing you some concern.
I am actually a sales agent for the company, so am clearly a little hurt by the bad reports in this forum. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that if you type "worse customer service" into google, on page one, you will see sites which claim the title goes to Talk Talk, NTL, and BT! All isp and landline providers. If there have in the past been incidents of "mis-selling" I can assure you that would never be possible now. All calls are monitored and recorded, plus a legal script is read to everyone wishing to change thier services to us. I have been present when someone has forgotten to read the legal script and have been instantly called up on it and made to call the customer back before they were allowed to submit the sale. In regards to the prices being "too good to be true" Axis have succesfully gained a foothold in a tight oligopalistic market for a decade to date. How would they have suceeded in doing so if it wasnt for competing with a superior quality at a better price? I hope this doesnt deter from my appolagy, if agents have caused any form of disatisfaction to clients then it simply isnt good enough. I do hope however that you can make your own minds up, and apreciate that i would never work for a company that wasnt providing a good service to people. Thanks for taking the time to read my reply.0 -
Firstly, you cannot post on here as a representative of Axis unless you are an approved Company Rep.
Secondly, why are you digging up a 21 month old thread to reply to the OP, who has presumably long moved on?No free lunch, and no free laptop
