Usb wont work please help

i plug it in it comes up found new hardware then found new hardware wizard comes up ithyen it asks to insert a disc or floppy which didnt come with the mem stick. its a busbi 4gb from argos brand new yesterday.

So your USB ports are fine (if the kb/mouse work in the port you tried the flash drive in).
Last try-test the flash drive in another PC.
If no good take it back to Argos. It should work out the box-no drivers required.

i have a card reader and sd card and the same thing happens and when i plug my phone in it doesnt get the mem card init.

But the same ports work with the kb and mouse?

by seeing that, i think it might be because the USB ports aren't supplying enough power to power all the connected devices which might be why they aren't showing up
