Are you talking about the wizard for the stick or USB port?
Try updating Windows, try finding the latest drivers for the stick or uninstall the USB ports and then reboot to reinstall them.

Read the second line of what I wrote previously and do each one at a time and try the stick and if none work then let us know,
Also if you know the model number of the stick then do a Google search for the same problems and hopefully solutions.

Can you see the drive in My Computer ?
A flash USB stick shouldnt need anything to work..no drivers at all.
The USB port maybe faulty or the drive is more likely since it's easier to damage.
What does windows say about the USB port? Is there an warning next to it?

Go into Control panel then decices there ...last one there in the list ..Universal serial bus controllers. They should say "this devide is working properly" .

Firstly, are you sayingthat no USB flash drive will work, or just one particular one? If the latter then your flash drive may simply have died.
Have you tried a different USB port instead, preferably a front port if the problem was with a rear port, and vice versa?
Does another USB device work in the affected port?
It's best to eliminate the easy things first.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
