Orange 3G vs o2 3G
Coming to the end of my current Orange contract. At the same time i am also moving to an area called Tring in Hertfordshire. I want an Iphone so originally i was just going to wait until Orange release it and keep with them, however on their own website orange say the 3g coverage in the area i am moving to is 'poor'.
I then went to the o2 website, they have a slightly different way of calculating their 'coverage'. They say that their coverage in Tring is 'High' but they dont mention 3g seperatley, they just say its generic coverage is 'high' which includes 'video/news'.
On the face of it, i should really go to o2 as orange definately doesnt have good coverage, but how much can i trust o2?
I looked at Ofcom's map of 3g coverage by each provider, and i checked some areas where, according to Ofcom, o2 has no 3g coverage at all, i then cross checked that with what o2 said they had, and they again said they had 'high' coverage.
Anybody know how i can check genuine 3g coverage for particular area with o2 and not just their generic 'coverage'.
Thanks!

Typically Oranges 3G coverage is a lot better the O2's. The Ofcom maps were taken at the start of this year and so are already out of date. Best thing for you to do is bring your current phone to Tring and try it out before deciding.
If I was you, I would stay with Orange.0 -
I've just sold my iPhone 3GS on O2, as unless I am on wi-fi at home, just about every feature except sending a text or making a call is redundant. I live near Watford, Tring may be better, but I doubt it
