Which is the beast deal between these 4?

I have a mini cooper '56' reg, so new model. I had a test drive in a BMW 1 series when they first came out with the intention of ordering a new one (Sept 04 I think). Wasn't impressed at all didn't feel a bit sporty and ended up buying a pre-reg BMW 3 series lot better car to drive. The mini is so much fun to drive, it goes round corners like it's on rails, not very practical for rear passengers but most of the time it's just me. I didn't get good deals from Mini dealers, I bought it from an independent dealer, one owner low mileage.
The mini convertible wasn't upgraded at the same time so you would need a newer one to get the new model. Buy it it'll put a big grin on your face when you drive it. And no I'm not an estate agent or hairdresser just a housewife who's son has flown the nest so there's only me to think about.

Hi ML thanks for your feedback I was looking forward to hear from Mini owners

I test rode the Mini and it also left me all excited like a little girl!
We went around a roundbout fairly slowly but it had so much control I went around it again faster and never felt any 'roll' as I did my other cars. My route to work, in the countryside is full of twist and turns so it should be in its territory.
I am looking at 56 and 07's to stay within my budget and have those with push botton start. I have seen the 4 above just hae to make my mind up. I think I am going to go for the 07 cooper 20K and hope it wont give me any issues. Is yours a push button start? Does it always start first time/ has it ever stalled?
Also how much are the services???0 -
I would recommend the following website/forum for the current Mini, especially if you have any concerns about problems or faults with the cars

I found the info on there brilliant when I had a Mini convertible.0 -
Mine is the push button start, never failed to start, never stalled. If it's got the TLC pack the servicing is pre-paid. I had to pay for the air con re-gassing (well hubby did) that's the only cost so far in 18 months. It's 3 year old on Nov 18th so it's going for it's MOT soon.
It's only done 12,000 miles so it's only had one service so far, Sparkling silver with black roof and bonnet stripes, jcw bodykit, larger alloy wheels, half leather and chilli pack.
I prefer driving it than my hubbys Lexus, and the Lexus cost £44,000, so I would say the Mini is great value (more smiles per miles). Let us know what you decide.
