Sorry about the typo error :p

Hi can you help me decide please and give some general advice about newer and high mileage VS older and low mileage?

Aslo what is the best deal here? They are all identical specs, and I do approx 15k mileage a year, I am really confused and not sure which one to go for

CAR 1
2007/07 - 10500 miles - £9495

CAR 2
2007/07 - 20000 miles - £8987

CAR 3
2007/57 - 27500 miles - £8999

CAR 4
208/08 - 24600 miles - £9599

thanks

nothing between them in mileage vs age, have a look at them and base your decision on how well they have been maintained, how they look, alloys, optional extras engine size and how many owners

They are all the new model (unless they're convertibles), are they all the same colour? some colours may be more desirable, are they all at the same dealer? If not I would get a deal on each one and see which is the best deal.

Do they all have service histories?
  • on the information given and assuming all are identical then car 2. it has average mileage and the lowest price and still some warranty left.
but there is much more to look at. and these prices i assume again are all negotiable. so it would be better to find the one you want and try and work a deal with the seller.

    Hi all,
yes they have all FSMH, there should be only two because they have 20K service intervals.
They are from different shops and popular / safe colours like silver and black. Not convertible. ( I hear they are colder in winter and more noisy- is it true?)
on the information given and assuming all are identical then car 2
that was my first choice :j but wanted to make sure with you guys that you agreed!

The only thing that I would like to add is that these 4 vehicles are the only 4 in the country (for these specs and price) and they (the dealers) knows it and are not prepared to budge on the cost of the car, especially as I am p/x a young car with high mileage they say that giving me a 'better' p/x value means (even though it seems book price to me) that they cant discount the car. They are all saying the same, in 4 different part of the country!!

My husband put a spanner in the works saying that I can get a BMW 1 series for the same money which I agree is a 'proper' car but having sold my bike today :( means that I want to put fun back into driving and the Mini is funky, young, fun to drive whilst the 1 series is more executive and I dont like to take myself too seriously :)

I hope I am not making a mistakes, would like to talk to some Mini drivers but dont know any and never get to see to stop and talk to anyone who has one. I have been reading reviews and I have to get a post 06 as the previous ones had issues with power steering pumps and clutches.

From 56 they started the new model with push start button so I thought I might as well go for that model otherwise in about 5 years time (this is how long I intend to keep it) I guess the 'older technology ' ones would drop in value.
But I also read that they have some people reporting that the electric button doesnt start the car and sometimes it makes it stall and BMW doesnt know why but not sure how much of an issue this is, if it was a few isolated cases or a real issue.
I am getting scared :o I am putting a lot of money into this car and want it to be reliable!
  • i beleive the mini has a few reliability issues but none more than any other car out there i guess.
but remember your mini is a BMW so it comes with BMW service and parts prices.

Are you an estate agent? ;)

    Car 4 for me.
A year's more warranty, a newer car with slightly more mileage for only £600 more than car 2.

No I am a hairdresser! :D LOL ( not true)

    thanks for your input!
