I have tried a couple of butchers but have been unable to buy any...they say that there is no demand and so don't stock it.
I wonder if anyone knows of any butchers who sell it in the Notts, Derbyshire or Leicestershire area.
It is for human consumption.

I'm sure the butchers in the market in Nottingham will order some in for you, they did that for me for something, I can't remember what*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150

Years ago you could always get some in the chippy.
Can't imagine them selling that, and pigs trotters now.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Just out of interest, how do you cook it? I've never seen tripe before let alone eaten it, but I'm game to give it a try. Is it cheap to buy?0 -
Boil it until soft. Serve with onion sauce and mash - that's how my nan used to do it. It's very cheap if you can get it.0
