I was thinking of writing to them to explain the situation, and complain about the arrogance of the issuer. I was also wanting to play them at their own game by stating the facts from the government website above and threatening to go to my own solicitors for advice and maybe telling them that i may contact the national papers etc. what do you all think??
Fad, ignore it as already stated in this thread by others and move on. You will not have to pay a penny, to anyone, ever. Park in the bay every time, get a ticket every time, ignore it every time, you'll not owe anyone anything. Simples!Pants0 -
thank you all for your messages of support, i will ignore it and see what happens.0

Good stuff! Some other posters on here need to learn about private parking scam tickets.
What will happen? You may hear nothing more, or you may receive a series of threatening letters pretending that it's a real fine, pretending that they come from a Solicitor, pretending that they 'may' take you to Court. Then after up to half-a-dozen threatening letters they'll go away to stalk another victim.
Just ignore and file all correspondence (but keep the letters as evidence of the scam, just in case the chancer ever decides in a year or so to rear his ugly head and bung a few Court moneyclaims at previous non-payers when you aren't expecting it). Don't worry about this though, there is a solid defence available on pepipoo.com for those facing one of the very few PPCs who dare to try this. It is very rare anyway.
Ignoring such a toytown 'fine' will not affect your credit status, will not involve Bailiffs and does not have to be declared as a 'debt' or 'fine' on any forms (would you declare if you were ignoring a series of scam emails from Nigeria? Same thing).
The fact is they can only claim 'damages' in Court, and there are usually none so they can claim zero. The so-called 'fine' is a made-up figure which would be unenforceable in the County Court anyway.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

All completely irrelevant. As previously stated, blue badges and disabled bays have no legal standing in private car parks, and the PPC has suffered no loss under any implied contract, so they don't have any valid claim against the OP.
This would still be the case even if he had parked a bendy bus sideways across 19 bays, unloaded a !!!!ed-up rugby team who went into the shop for 20 Marlboro each, and stayed there three hours.
So take your moral outrage and eat it.
Thank you for this :T:T:T the image it brought to mind really brightened my day:rotfl:.Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever

can anybody be kind enough to share their experience with these cowboys. I would like to know what is the worse that has happened if they chose to ignore their letters. Anybody, ever been taken to court, or have bailiffs around.0

I would like to know what is the worse that has happened if they chose to ignore their letters. Anybody, ever been taken to court, or have bailiffs around.
I've had over 200 PPC fines/invoices/tickets, equating to about 1000 letters.
I've been taken to court 200 times, lost every single one of them and have ended up losing my family [sold into white slavery to pay the fines], my job, and my home.
So you'd better pay up or they come round and on the first visit they kill either your dog/cat, or if you don't have a pet then your eldest child gets it.
Be warned that the actual 5th and 6th letters that they send are capable of folding themselves into small 'paper ninjas' [a la Transformers] and they then give you really nasty paper cuts as a warning to pay up; so don't open them.
The seventh letter has an evil spirit attached that once opened, sucks your soul out of your body and sells it to Satan [but for less than the debt so you're still on the hook.
As for the 13th letter...OMG, just be very afraid...!!!!
So my advice is 'Pay up or risk losing your mortal soul, and everything else precious to you'.

Because of alleged 'opportunist parking' in our Daughter's private parking lot at her flat in Edinburgh, the factor is intending to employ Central Ticketing to police the parking. We have been advised that only one permit will be issued per flat allowing the owner to park in their own designated parking space, which is celarly shown as belonging to the flat on the title deeds. Failure to display the permit will result in a fine of £100. Visitor parking bays will no longer be available for residents. Can they really introduce and enforce these parking restrictions in a private car parking area? We have been given 28 days to respond. Legal advice was to ask what authority they had to deny us access to our designated parking space. Any advice?0

An easier way to solve the problem is to install some kind of barrier or gates with a keyfob for access.0 -
I agree with the posts saying ignore it and don't contact them. I had a similar experience in over staying on a supermarket car park. I got a fine, ignored it, the company chased the debt, i ignored it, they sent lots of letters and eventually went away. A solicitor friend of mine advised me to do this, apparently one of the courts he uses is opposite a supermarket and he parks on there all the time and never pays any of the fines. As they're private firms he reckons that its too expensive for them to pursue it through the courts0
