Anyone else think of Fat Fighters from Little Britain when they heard the words 'cake' and 'dust' or is it just me?!:o

    "I LUUUURRRRRVE THE CAKE"

    "Dast?....little bit of dast???"
BTW I know I've put an 'a' instead of 'u' but thats how it sounds to me:p

Laura and Penny - so sorry to hear your news - that's just devastating. Please take time to rant and rave and cry. Let your OHs look after you, but look after them too.

Laura - I know you were upset when the mw asked you to take another test in a weeks time, and it really did sound like she didn't go about it in a very tactful way. But I know when I had my second mc, they asked me to do the same (somewhat more sensitively fortunately). The reason behind this was to avoid having to go through the trauma of having yet another scan, as if the test shows negative, that hopefully means that the mc has completed successfully. So there is a reason behind it - she's not just being cruel - I remember only too well just how hard it was do, but was thankful I didn't have to go for another scan.

Over the last couple of pages, there have been various thoughts on whether people would "prefer" to get a bfp then mc, or to never get a bfp. Personally, I took comfort from the fact that we had finally managed to conceive given our ages (I'm 38, my DH is 43), and that nature knew best with these individual babies that there was probably something wrong. Then again, I was trying to take any positives I could find, to help me get through all the immediate emotions. Not sure if this helps or not, but just thought I'd post a slightly different viewpoint.

Anyway, my thoughts and best wishes are with you both. Take care of yourselves. xx
