Well what a day...

We went of to the hospital for my emergency scan it was a disaster as they could not see anything. I saw a lovely consultant and they took blood and are doing so every 48 hours for the next week to monitor the HCG levels. The consulant kept reassuring us that maybe the pregnancy was just to early for them to see. To be honest it was all a very sad time.

So come home knowing I have to ring up tomorrow at 10 for the results from today then back again Christmas Eve for more blood.

Bit later on it sort of came to be I think I have my dates confused !! I think I am about 2-3 weeks out. Called the hospital and the consultant said that makes things much clearer as what she saw on the screen would echo that as there are changes to the womb lining preparing itself etc...she also said you would never see anything on the scan this early, now I have my dates a bit better So that made me feel better

She has done her best to re-assure me but she still wants to do blood tests to monitor HCG. The result they get tomorrow they use as a marker then the next result I get on Christmas Day !! Should be double tomorrows one if it is a 'healthy' pregnancy.

All in all a very stressful and draining day but I do feel more positive more. I also feel so stupid getting dates wrong...

oo forgot to say earlier Jenny im so glad that the results were fine. like ellie said how come you have to wait for AF?

I feel really bad quite bad now as i'm having xmas round OH parent's, well going to mums in the morning then back in the evening and staying but now i feel i kinda need to with mum/stepdad, as at mums all its going to be is them 2, nan and brother.

Anyone help since about Sunday i've been having tiny cramp in my tummy, doesnt last very long, havnt really had any today, could it be af telling me she is on her way?i only used to get pain the night before af arrives but that was before when i was on the pill.

Penny Im on the same wagon-back for more bloods tomorrow. Yesterday my HCG was 290. Just so you know-they cant see anything (and normally dont even do scans) until you hit 1000 on your hcg and even still they prefer to wait until 2000. I didnt even get a scan yesterday. According to my dates...Im 4+2 today.
Thankfully Ive been told to get bloods done and sent up to epu and then go and wait to see someone again, so I dont have to wait for after christmas.

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been in for a few days, have been up to my eyes with getting ready for christmas!!

Well am on CD 8, we have been bding every day so far, although I know I wont OV this early, but as I have no idea when I do (just cant ever see anything different?!) but we intend to try atleast once a day if not twice all through the christmas season so we'll see how we go!

CD22 for me. The 2WW is nearly over and with Christmas in there, it'll fly by. Speaking of Christmas, myself and DH were supposed to be locking the door and spending our first married Christmas together alone (and indeed our first Christmas alone full stop) with friends coming for NYE. Things have changed now tho and on Tues 29th (testing day) I will be working a half day then getting in the car and driving to Stafford as our best friends can't come to ours now NYE. My best friend was screaming down the phone (my hubby was on to her hubby) "DON'T PEE ON THAT STICK TILL YOU GET HERE!" :rotfl:
TBH I think AF will have shown her (pig ugly) face by then as i'm sure I had PMT today but it pacified her when I said yes lol. I just have images now of the 4 of us all crammed into her loo while I test :rotfl: (we're all very close lmao)

Can I have some PMA as well please girls, my gorgeous Nephew was admitted to hospital this morning as he's not keeping food down due to a bronchial infection. He's not quite 1 yet and now faces spending his 1st Christmas in hospital and i'm 200 miles away

oh big hugs sexki11en. I know exactly how you feel, I used to live away from home and my nephew was nearly 3 months prem, being away from home when I was much needed was heart breaking, but just being there on the other end of the phone will help your family no end I'm sure.

Rach I would think the pregnacare will have b vits in but probably not in high enough doseage. They reckon for short lp's you should be taking 100mg per day which is way more than is normal. Have a look on the bottle and it should tell you how much b6 is in them.

Aww...my mate just posted pics of her baby on facebook in a santa hat!!! ARGH!!!! I want one. Still, at least I get to nick my nephew at christmas! CANNOT WAIT!

Got a bit scared earlier by it so think I might TRY to get an appointment with docs tomorrow... that will be fun:rolleyes:

I'm nearly on to my 4th glass of cranberry juice in the hope that it'll help;)
