morning everyone x
good luck those testing today but dont be too upset with negative results as its still early.
AF has arrived, sooner than I thought but not upset. If my cycles are back to normal than i'll be due 7th jan so maybe I'll get a BFP for the new year.0 -
Just up, tested using last of last month clearblue digital and guess what
............
I got my BFP:j
Hopefully this is the start of a bumper month for the thread - it's early days for me so I'll be taking it easy to make sure this ones a sticky baby
I'll hang around the thread for a while and be a cheerleader if thats ok
TMIA
early symptoms I had were almost constant mild cramps on one side, a lot of wind and I was really rushing about yesterday at work and felt a bit dizzy and unwell & I also noticed one or two occassions that smells seemed much stronger and made me feel queasy HTHBusy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0 -
congratualtions - i really believe you just know when you are, the rest of the time we are trying to convince ourselves we are. Loads of sticky baby dust for you and it wont be long before you get to put all that baby stuff to good use.
On the car front ours would be a peugeot too and the crueliest part of that is they are then just a number 206 in our case lol. We havent done the in a car thing since way before we had children and thought we were somewhere secluded only to have a horse peering through the window - totally freaked me out.0 -
Morning all  ....this is going to be a long post I'm afraid as I'm bored....
[edit - I've taken so very long to post that I've managed to miss a BFP! HUGE CONGRATS MLSL!!! Sending lots of sticky vibes your way!
MERFE sorry AF got you, onwards and upwards...]
I think I've been awake quite a few hours now, done what is becoming my usual bedtime routine of not finding it too hard to get to sleep initially then waking up around 4 to wee, getting really hot and not being able to sleep again. Just took my temp - 39.21! Was quite surprised as don't feel nearly as bad as I have some other nights (when I've not taken temp).
We'll be making another trip to the docs tomo as OH is now having a lot of pain when he wees and having to go a lot. I think I'll see someone whilst were there too as from reading the nhs website; given where my pain is and the level of my temp I think I prob have an upper UTI rather than lower which it says is usually treated with 7 days (I was prescribed with 3 days which it says is standard for a lower UTI).
Back to the TTC front - AF definately arrived yesterday eve, but I've surprised myself by feeling pretty happy about it. I guess I knew deep down that I'm not well enough right now to grow a baby and even if by some miracle I got a BPF I would be triply (sp?) worried that it wouldn't be sticky. Therefore I'm pretty chuffed that my body has decided to start me off with a whole new chance, also means I get to miss the worse bit of the 2ww.
Having just written that I've realised that is what a lot of you guys say - getting AF is better than BPN etc.
For even more PMA - I get a shiny new chart on fertility friend, I'm already on CD2, and I get chance to conceive before Christmas (my fertile period will also be around our 1 year anniversary :T).
On the non TTC PMA front, last night I managed to have miso soup, 2 rice cakes with honey, a few strawberries with ice cream and half a cup of tea - and kept it down - it feels like such an achievement :j.
I've also been using my not able to sleep time productively I think - have thought up and scribbled down a kind of points based housework chart for me and OH which will should help loads with making it fair if he agrees to it - I at the moment feel like I do 90% of the housework despite the fact that I work full time in a demanding job with loads of travel time and he is only working a few hours a week at the mo.
Also have decided I'd like a dog - not completely out of the blue as always wanted one eventually but thought we'd wait till we had kids, owned our own house etc - since I lost my cat I've been really missing having a pet and also a feel a bit like it would fill a bit of the hole of not having kids yet. TBH I'd like a cat more but would be less happy to have one here as we don't really know how long until we'll be moving and cats don't do as well with moves as dogs. We're not allowed pets per our contract so I've noted down some points to make to LL to request permission (we could up the deposit, agree not to get an unhousetrained puppy etc). I'm thinking LL might not really care and it might just be a standard contract term that she left in (as you would as a landlord).
Wow, that was long - sorry(and all me me me) - it has helped me pass about an hour though!!
Eek! Just clicked submit and got a message saying I had to log in - must have been logged out for some reason - so thought for a moment that I'd lost the lot! There's something else positive.
Proud to be a moneysaver! :cool:0 -

yep mine is 35 days normally, which is great when you are not ttc, I'm so jealous of all you 28 day girls, I have to wait a whole nother week to find out lol.
Maddie I've suffered with UTI. The worst was during my exams in my final year at uni - I completely ignored the pains for 3 weeks then went to docs with shoulder tip pain (I literally could move my arm it was so painful). Docs told me I probably caught it from OH but because ladies dont have such a long urthrea (sp!?!) they are more prone to infections whereas men normally fight off the infection before it reaches their bladder or kidneys. The first one I had was at 17 after proper flu because of the dehydration I was ill for about a month and couldnt keep anything down. Maybe you have a bit of flu as well as the infection - drink plenty of fluids - although I'm sure you are x hope you are better soon.0 -
AF got me yesterday, bit gutted really but onwards and upwards. x0

Congratulations!!!:j:j:j
May I ask, how long have you been trying?
3rd Cycle, I came off the pill after 5 years in Sept 09, I'm almost 30 and my hubby is 34, we already have a 5 year old, just in case you were wondering
Just wanted to say to those who have been having a hard time lately, or who AF has caught, my advice is have a home spa session to pick you up - good for de stress, use all those things that you've been keeping for good.....nice underwear, potions & lotions etc I've just had a lovely warm bath, exfoliate, defuzz and tonight I'm planning fingernails & toenails painted, massage, I know I'll probably feel rubbish over the next few weeks ( last time round I was quite sick ) but when I look my best I feel as good as I can
Go on girls....cos we're worth itBusy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0 -
