Evening everyone!
I'm Maureen, i've been hanging about on the thread for a few days and thought i'd better introduce myself!
I'm 29, have DH, 8yo DS, 4yo DD and EDD for baby number 3 is 2nd April.
Have managed 3 days working as a newly qualified nurse and now on Mat leave!
Was nauseous from 6-20weeks - nightmare!
Now I have pubic symphesis disfunction and waiting for physio appointment.
Am nesting Big Time! Been de-cluttering and sorting and tidying for days and can only seem to stop when the pelvis goes 'no more!'.
Just picked my travel system on kiddicare.com so hopefully will get that and some other bits and bobs tomorrow wen i eventually get paid!! Cant wait for it all to start arriving! lol

Anyway, that's me!

AARGGHH!! Somebody pass me a stick so I can beat mil with it!!!:mad: Cld she get anymore self righteous???
My mil is a lovely lady and v generous but she is a very strong minded lady and is v much use to getting what she wants.Her 2 boys (hubby and bil)tend to ignore her or let her get her own way to pacify her.
She use to be a nurse and midwife and is always right.'cos she retired 10 yrs ago some of her medical knowledge is outdated and if she hasn't heard of it,it basically doesn't exist.We have a meeting to attend tomorrow with our family,friends and health visitor to discuss my fibromyalgia and to put a plan of support into action after baby arrives.So I was on the phone trying to explain this to her and she's such a bloody marter(sp?)!!I tried to explain what fibro was and chronic fatigue and she said 'you mean like when I retired?I put it down to arthritus'No you silly bat I mean when your trying to build up enough energy to climb the stairs and your in pain everyday and you ache like you have flu all the time.And your going to have it for the rest of your life!
I shouldn't be surprised really by her attitude as she is old school and believes that you should just suck it up and get on with it.She makes me feel so pathetic for not been able to keep on top of the housework etc.She believes women are superior to men and that we just have to get on with it 'cos that's life.On the flip side I have my mum,hubby,health visitor and doc urging me not to push myself and trying to drum it in to me that housework etc is not important and not to fret.I cld scream.I don't want her to make a fuss I just want her to understand how hard I am finding things at the mo and she's never going to judging by her reaction just a min ago.I think she thinks I'm making a fuss and being precious.
