jha i'm not bad thanks, still feeling a bit emotional but i think it's just down to tiredness cos i've been having broken sleep all week!

Had my midwife appt today, am 37+5, i';ve seen 3 different midwives lately and they all say "oooh this baby is a good size" lol, i don't want her to be toooooooooooo big :rotfl: I'm only 5'1" but i do have hips so should be okay lol.
My mam saw me waddling today and doesn't think i'll last another week lol.

I've almost finished the decorating in my bedroom!! I have one more strip of paper to put up, but i had to go to mw appt and it's a fiddly half width strip so i've left it til tomorrow but it looks lovely :D Then i need to dismantle my huuuge solid wood bed and go and order a carpet, then once that's done i can start getting the baby stuff sorted out so i'm aiming to have the carpet laid by Tuesday.

My mam has a new plan and reckons we can get the kitchen wallpapered next week  I'd love to think that's true but i'm not sure it's realistic especially as i'm now starting to feel reeeeeeeeeeeaally ready to drop! It'll be me wallpapering and she'll paint the ceiling lol.

Need to deep clean the whole downstairs of my house too and get the Xmas decs up, need to find out if my tree is broken cos i seem to remember shoving it in the cupboard last year with a mental note to buy a new one cos some branches were loose.

Feeling like i've been kicked in the gonads several times (well, if i had gonads :rotfl:) which i think is where the new waddle has come from, doesn't help that my boots have blistered my foot so it hurts :(

EA, my natural hair colour is blonde, but darker than it is cos i dye it. I wish i'd never started it but now i have to carry on cos u can see my roots when they come through lol. Anyway i use the permanent stuff in lightest blonde and have done it 2 or 3 times since being preg and it's fine. Not sure what stuff you'll be using though to get it from dark? I'd find out their reasoning for not using it, i doubt it'd turn your hair green or anything lol, and it's not like you're gonna have chemicals seeping through your skin for a long time.

I have a feeling lou won't be queue jumping me after all, i think mine will be about a week early  Then again, knowing my luck i'll still be waddling on Xmas day :rotfl:

Not getting anyone to do the bed, but will have to get my mam to move the headboard part of it cos it weighs about the same as my car :rotfl: I should be okay unscrewing all the slats, they won't be too heavy i shouldn't imagine, then i can pile them up in DS room til the new carpet is in.

Mw said baby is engaged but still has a bit to go, whatever that means lol she didn't give me numbers it was a diff mw this time. But i don't suppose it matter cos they can disengage when it's your 2nd or more apparently.

Getting worried about the midwives commenting that it's a "good size" lol. When i say my DS was 6lb 6oz they look at me as if to say, yeah add another 2 or 3 lb's on this one :rotfl:

  • Whilst we're aware that choosing names can be a very tricky situation, after a couple of chats it seems we've reach a decision :D

For a boy - William Joseph (but would use Billy)

For a girl - Isabelle Ivy (but would use Izzy)

AB i like both of those :D

You're very organised! I'm getting sick of people asking me if i've thought of any names lol. The answer is no!!

    Thank you Beenie!!

I think we just fell lucky with both agreeing on the names so quickly, rather than being very organised!?! :D

My Mum cried when I told her, as Ivy was my Nan's name, William was one of my Grandad's middle name and Joseph my other Grandad's first name.

William and Joseph are also Mrs AB's Grandad's names, she picked Izzy and I asked for Ivy, hence it all going so easily.

  • Hi everyone

I haven't been on for ages so I won't catch up but congrats to the new mummies and welcome to the new faces.

I've had to look after DH's gran for the last week and a half as she had a bad reaction to her meds but she's on the mend now and back to her usual spiteful self
It was DD's second birthday today so I've had a houseful even though I asked people to wait until sunday when she has her party so I feel like I haven't stopped all day and I've got loads to do tomorrow and saturday too because we're still unpacking after moving in in august :o

JHA I hope your cat gets better soon
