OMG! It's what time?? Bed bed bed bed NOW woman!
I'm quite often awake at 2am thanks to the cat though.
Well I phoned the hospital yesterday, sent in several circles with different people & eventually phoned back by a matron of somesort who is going to get the community midwife to phone me today after I finish work, & she will come & visit me then make an appointment for a scan. Phew!
Unbelievably one person I spoke to who was looking at my records (last activity was blood tests saying I wasn't ovulating) - she said with tone 'and you're sure you're pregnant?' I snapped YES! I was already blubbing.
Thanks for all your support & good wishes, it's so helpful & encouraging. :T0 -
Congratulations to Boogelly and Charlie Davis. Both lovely names for your gorgeous little girls. Well done!
Any news on GISI yet?
ETA - Morning JHA. How are you? Tying one handed as usual!0 -
Congrats Boogelly! Isla Mae is a gorgeous name (both were on my 'list' for DD, love them!) She is gorgeous! Well done you.
JHA- not sure if it is something that would interest you or not, but most independant midwives will have a consultation with you about specific issues you may be having with NHS for around £50. If it gets to the stage where you are feeling like you are fighting the NHS, you may feel better doing that so you at least have some medical advice that is based on you, baby and your situation rather than on what is best for the Dr.s. HTH.
I want an independant midwife but can't afford the £3,000 that it would cost usWe started saving and managed £1,000 but TBH, now I have DD and new baby to think off I keep thinking how that money could be better spent, might just have a consultation before my due date to go over a couple of issues I have from last time, and hopefully get a bit of info on how best to deal with it should these issues arise again.

jha - I feel you are stalking me know, lol, only joking as requested one bump pic..
redmel - glad your mum showed up in time, shame about the rushed appointment tho.
Lovely bump pic:)
I didn't feel rushed tbh, just like they actually weren't faffing round for ages like normal. I hate sitting round hospitals for hours.....The gp measured my bp as normal an hour later and neither of them could tell me why I keep seeing funny lights and getting headaches.
During my last pregnancy I had gallstone attacks once a week and not a single health professional picked up on it. I wonder what's wrong with me this time :cool:
Hi Agutka:hello:
I hope they find out what the headaches and flashing lights are for you. You are drinking enough fluids aren't you, I always suffer with headaches/lightheadedness if I am dehydrated? I am not sure how early on in a pregnancy pre-eclampia can start showing signs.....
I can't believe they didn't pick up on the gallstones, they could have had a look for those when doing one of your scans:rotfl:
I had Gallstones after having ds2 and it took them quite a while to work out what it was for me too.
Mel xUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
Lovely Bump pic som
Well there is more to the brother saga
I woke up this morning and I had two texts off him, one from 1am saying "His wife doesnt think the guests will have gone by 10am" so he doesnt know if he oculd meet us at Ikea then
Then at 8am saying "I dont think I can meet you at 10 I am still drunk"
I was !!!!ing foamin! so I rang mam to tell her (cos we are picking her up on the way) and she was livid too lol
So I decided to text him back and say that we are still going, we will see if we can fit it all in our car and if we cant I will text him with a list of things to get and he can get it on the way to our house when he is able to drive!
So annoyed and upset with him for doing this
Its meant to be a nice fun day, going to get baby's nursery gear and then going to see New Moon with everyone
I hope you all have a better day lol

Morning all,
Congrats Boo she's a little cutie
Sidekick don't worry about the not eating, I barely ate at all for the first 12 weeks & even now can't eat anywhere near as much as I used to. So just eat what you fancy/feel you can
Som lovely bumpGlad you got lots of freebie baby bits too
Admittedly...seeing yours sent me googling 25 week pics as mine is still tiny!! Will be interested to see what the midwife makes of it next week
Congrats GISI & welcome HenryI love his name, it's still lurking on our list
EA I got some nightmare spots on my chest for a bit, didn't find anything to cure them but would say that if you've been using a scrub and it's not working, try stopping for a while and see if they go down, might be aggravating them? Or try a spot cream, an Oxy one or similar, used to find them ok.
Glad things have started moving with the midwife Lauz
Kindof hope you're feeling better today & get the day at Ikea you were planningHope you've given OH a kick up the a*se too, he shouldn't be so selfish suggesting smoking at home when you're pregnant (whether of the normal variety or not!). Oh no, just read your latest post, stupid brother
Thanks for the info on Burts Bees FernlieJust placing an order with Boots whilst the extra points are on so gonna pop a couple of bits on, the shampoo and bubble bath
JHA I'm afraid you can't have my OH, he's far too lovely :P We went out last night and were chatting over dinner and he was all for getting a 4d scan, aswell as stopping at Sainsburys on the way home to buy toblerone and magazines for me, then commented just now when he woke up that he can't take his drink anymore but that's a good thing because soon enough we'll be spending Saturday mornings taking baby swimming & doing things together so he wouldn't want to be drinking, bless himSorry...hope I'm not making anyone sick with soppiness!!
Right gotta get up and dressed, going to go for a wonder round town & finish off the last bits of Christmas shoppingxxx
Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
On the subject of Blues Clues i just asked DD1 (4) if Blue was a boy or a girl and she is adamant that Blue is a boy and the girl is the other dog with fluffy hair apparently

Agutka - Damn daft MW! Fancy gettin you all wound up, and eek no more appointments till 28 weeks, admitedly this is the same as me but have had a scan and doc visit in between so don't mind. If it makes you feel any better doc had to take my BP twice yesterday as the first time it was a lil high, 5 min later was a ok, and have headaches and the occasional light and doc says its miagraines and just part of PG. Fortunatley they seem to have eased now.
lauz - you finaly seem to be getting some where, hope she visits soon.
kindof - I hate beeing let down let alone while pg, your bro is so mean, hope the rest of the family gang up on him and make him feel awful!
Gym - my OH is really quite lovely too but while I'm pg he just seems to wind me up more than normal! At the mo its his snoring, am sure its gotten worse the further into pg Ive got, oh and he never gets out of bed first when its our day of so here I am again waiting for him to get up! Oh and if I have to ask him one more time to clean the fish tank and he says tomorrow am gonna just do it my self.
Well ended up wide awake last night so watched children in need till 1.30, am a lil tired but suppose I need to get used to that, might attempt a nap later. Need to go food shopping at some point and want to make a start on Xmas not that it should be too hard as we are only buying for about 5 people, wonder if OH has plans to watch any football today!Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2
