:( Gutted, I was hoping for the Friday!! Yeah fingers crossed they're both here way before then!

OH is coming straight home from work and skipping the gym as apparently I sound like I need cheering up - I text earlier saying I felt like a big fat hippo and he replied saying 'you're more like a pregnant giraffe'!? think that was some weird misguided attempt to reassure me!

    LOL bless

Gymfiend did you enjoy your lunch?
I'm 16 weeks on saturday and I'm barely showing, it is my first though, but I'm sure people will begin to think I'm making it up, lol.

Congrats EA and welcome to the world baby Lily! Well done you. Everyone I know who has had a big baby has had a fairly straightforward quick labour- must be using gravity more :)

DD was 8lb 5 and 2.5 weeks late, so if she was on time she prob would have been teeny, me and my brothers were big babies 9lb 1, 10lb2 so I was expecting her to be bigger. She was all legs though, she still has really long legs :) This baby seems smaller so far though.

:T Congratulations EA!! And welcome to Lily :hello:

As you are all commenting on how quick it was when did EA go into labour? I have read back a bit but couldn't see it mentioned?
  • All this talk of big babys is making me apprehensive! DS was 8Ib 13 and seconds are meant to be bigger! I had to be cut with DS and tore inside cos his head was so big! really dont want a repeat performance, the loss of blood made me sick it was the worst part!

Now how you feel. I had a 3rd degree tear with my ds and lost a lot of blood. I had to go to theatre afterwards. I was dreading the birth of my 2nd - but it wasn't as bad as I thought. The mw were very good and gave excellent care to try and make sure I didn't tear as bad again - unfortunately she came out with her hand up and I had a 2nd degree tear.
I am very nervous 3rd time round  Oh and both of my two weighed exactly the same - 8lbs 7.

Congrats EA hope you had a nice easy delivery

totally freaked out as I am 15th on list now and that includes 2 others who are due same day
feeling really huge today and it got me wondering ,If I go over due and they leave me 14 days that would take me to the 16th April and my birthday is the 17 th (also my friends wedding day ):(

with DS I had water infection and midwife kindly offered me a sweep as I was due following day.
My waters broke on due date with DS but didn't give birth to him till next day , so really have no idea if sweep help things along or not or I was just lucky to start on due date
