    Evening ladies,

Prepare for quite a big post, as I've just read all the posts since this morning :D

Chopsticks - Have you heard of the 4 month sleep regression, could it be that? Maybe slightly late but babies do all things when it suits them, it means they wake more at night because they're making so much developmental progress that the don't rest as peacefully? My sisters just gone through it with her baby and he did it for 4 weeks and then went back to sleeping through

I hadn't noticed until Hypno said this but Edgar did that^^!

ooh seth did that sleep regression thing, but we moved when he was 4 months old so we thought it might have been him being disturbed? he suddenly started waking for feeds having slept through since he was 6-7 weeks old, we didnt know what hit us - really hard second time round!!

Nooooooooo, I hadn't heard of it but that could be it. Trust my baby to be a month late (but then this is the five month old who is still in 0-3 month vests and has only just gone into 3-6 month clothes). On the plus side, we are in the third week of it, so over half way through if Caitlin is doing the same as your sister's baby.

Agree about the sig... Perhaps mine should have the new arrival in there..

I keep meaning to change my sig, will do that tonight. Apart from the insomnia, how is your pregnancy going Weezl?

choppy, sorry you've had a sleep set-back. We've found it harder once he's older, I think I was more prepared for it to be hard at first, but then that we'd get more sleep and that things would be more predictable. But alas no! So sympathy hugs from me. And I'm sure it's a phase and it will pass!

I have my fingers crossed for the four weeks that Hypno mentioned!!
I agree with you about it being harder now. I am getting more sleep now than I did in the early days but I am doing more in the daytime now compared to those days, so am still pretty tired (in the early days, I was lucky and my mum did my cleaning for me, so I just had to concentrate on Caitlin, whereas now I do all that kind of stuff (well sometimes), plus take Caitlin to baby massage, swimming, Rhyme Time, etc.

Incidently he has horrendous cradle cap, have been using dentinox, but but doesn't seem to be budging, does anyone have any other remedies or ideas (not medical advice!)
    Thanks

I know you've already had several replies, but someone recommended olive oil to me. I need to try it as although Caitlin's CC is only a small patch, it's not budging, I've been using Dentinox and it's not shifting. I'm putting off the olive oil as I bath her at night so don't want to have to wash her hair in the morning again as it'll probably confuse her. I think I'll try Sami's advice first.

How unfair that you all seem to have overly sleepy babies!

I'm joining you, Krystal and MFD in the "we don't have sleep babies" group :D. Hope your OH's face is OK

With teeth - is it always the front ones that come thru first? I'm sure I spied a white spot but it was nearer the back

I know Weezl has already replied to you (I'm so slow :D). Caitlin had a couple of white spots near the back of her mouth a while ago. Two HVs said they were teeth but they were round rather than long so I wasn't sure. Anyway, they disappeared and haven't been seen again, so I wonder if they were a touch of thrush and now feel guilty that I didn't take her to the Dr for antibiotics.

Susan - do you know where you read about weaning not making much difference to sleeping? I'd just be interested in reading about it but don't worry if you don't know off the top of your head.

Elle - are you doing BLW or purees with Rhys? I saw Krystal's pics on FB earlier of Caitlyn and she looks so cute with the pear. I've only done purees so far with Caitlin, but am tempted to read a bit more about BLW too.

Claire - Caitlin finally fits in the snowsuit!! She wore it today when I took her to be weighed. Thank you so much xxx

Tia and MM - I love your new pics of Amber and Dylan - sooo cute!

MM - good luck for Friday!!

SM - glad to hear the good news about your gay OH. Is everything OK with you and Philip (you mentioned having a chat tonight)? Actually, just read the latest posts and can see that it's a good chat, so that's OK :D

What happened with Alice and a dog Susan?
Alice got scared by a dog which lunged right up to her.
Hugs to Alice - I always make sure my dog (greyhound) is on lead when littlies are about because even though she loves children she is probably intimidating as she is the same height as the average 2 year old.
Thanks. Exactly - the child doesn't know that the dog is just being friendly. I was 20 before I realised that dogs are not actually putting their mouth up to bite you but are putting their nose up to smell you.
All we're getting asked every day is "Party, two sleeps?" she's excited about the dress she has to wear and the opportunity to dance her heart out.
This is why I never tell Alice about anything more in advance then the day before. She would drive me mad.

Not sure - I've definitely read it in a few places though. I'll have a look at kellymom as that's a likely place. (But if I disappear suddenly without replying it's because OH has got home from work in which case I'll post tomorrow.)

Solids and sleep. (In American, they call what we call weaning "introducing solids" because to them weaning is when you stop milk feeds rather than when you introduce solids.)
