thanks Mel - I wasnt sure if you could put a blanket over a sleeping bag.

It's generally his hands that get so cold but the boy must suck those fists!

MM - I had my smear today! :T is it sad that I was chuffed she used a small speculum?!

I have a question for you lovely creative types.

DD's homework last week was to design an angel, labelling it with what materials you'd use to make it.
(Teachers comments on the homework is that its more of a fairy than an angel - what's the difference?).

Anyway, DD being the cool fasionista she is , designed a gothic angel. It's wearing a black tutu, fushia and black stripey tights and top, black hair and pink hairband. With wings made out of my tights pulled over shaped pipe cleaners.

Now this weeks homework (we have two weeks to do it) is to make the angel!

We don't know whether to make it with loo roll tube and ping pong ball head, with outfit made of scraps.
Or to get an old dark haired barbie/sindy - and make the outfit....but then I suppose that isn't making the angel.

Does anyone have any creative ideas?

  • Yeah Glam, good girl :) I do love the way you all tell me when you have been !! You all know my wrath too much ;)

3 - get a plain white paper plate and cut it in half, curl this into a sort of skirt shape, then to make the head you can either use a ping pong ball or cotton wool or paper mache and attach to the skirt with lollypop sticks. then make a flowy dress to wrap around from the neck area down using a voile material, or lace or net, and then a silver pipe cleaner as a belt round the middle and another one for the halo !!

You probably aren't meant to, but hey the sleeping bag said normal temp is 18C, well I think 11C or colder needs something 'extra'
