they'll still have the copy of it instore, and thats pretty basic so they'll probably have it in :) when was your last sight test? oh and if you're getting tax credits, a reglaze is generally free if the optician will give you a NHS voucher so ask about that ;)

Elle - it also may not be worth getting glasses reglazed (sorry for barging in) I had some reglazed because my eyes decided to go downhill only 6mths after I'd got new ones it cost me £80 but I could have got 2 new pairs for £85ish depending on what style I liked, the only reason I did it was because I loved the frames and didn't like any of the new ones

Tbh, I'm not too worried about the cost - am very lucky to have a cashback scheme through work which pays out £300 a year for glasses. My last two pairs of glasses (in 2004! :o) were £125 for frames, lenses, anti-scratch coating and one of them as sunglasses so I'm not going to be spending heaps when I next get around to getting new frames

Only CTC not WTC.. doesn't that usually make the difference? The last eye test was September but not at SS, at a local independent I've been going to since I was little (who charge sky high prices for glasses and don't do special offers, boo!).

yeah what sami said is also true, they do 2-4-1 on any frame over £75, and the reglaze is £39, so unless you have barely worn yours, dont need a spare pair, mostly wear contacts, etc etc, 2-4-1 can sometimes be a better offer. if you're getting TC's the optician will normally give you a NHS voucher which would be worth about £36.20 (i think, the amount changed while i was off!!) which they can just take away from the overall price if you go for the offer.

i bet none of that made any sense at all!!

ETA - i cant remember which TC's you need to be getting, i think you might be right that it needs to be WTC or both, but OH got money off his glasses earlier in the year and i think we only got CTC's then :o they never came chasing after us though!!
