Carla Molly's gone back to the 2 hour feeds. I suspect it's a growth spurt but I'm planning on starting to give her some sort of baby mush once Husband's out of hospital and we're all back to normal.

Morning all and hello newbies :)

I have happened upon the perfect revenge on Husband.

I am buying Molly a drum :rotfl:

he he!!! That will teach him!

I wondered about Feelie last night - oh no, no 'puter! Wonder if she is still with her parents?

And where for art thou Weezl?!

Carla - Jack is 11weeks and my mum asked me if he was on solids yet!
Just cos 'they' say 6 months, do it when you feel ready!
It sounds to me like your boy wants proper food!

I've just switched Jack to Hungry Baby milk - although he only has 6oz bottles he was hungry all the time! I was actually make him wait an extra 30mins between bottles to try and stretch the day time gaps to around 3hrs and he's still going 4hrs at night!

I have an ulcer just on the inside of my bottom lip - last night I kept catching it while I was eating  so I poured a ton of salt on it  and now I still have a huge ulcer but now it's white and still painful!

Was a bit of a state last night - I've started using real chilli's instead of chilli powder and I made the mistake of licking my fingers after eating my tea and rubbing my eye!
Anyone got any tips for getting chilli off your fingers?!

Glam capsaicin (sp?) is the active ingredient in chilli and it's fat soluble. Milk or oil should get it off and then wash your hands again?

    Afternoon!

Welcome CS  Grace is a lovely name :)

I'm tired and we have another cold here:(
Words of Wisdom from Grandma this weekend. Liam woke up at 4am because he was hungry, the fact he had done the worlds biggest and smelliest poo and them thought it was playtime cos I took him out of his blankets is irrelevant, he was hungry

Glam, how long has Jack been in his cot?

MIL is the same - Jack is always hungry  so what does she do? Stick her finger in his mouth  Don't mind my finger in there cos I know I washed them!

Jack went in his cot 3 weeks ago so when he was 8 weeks. I found that he was hitting the sides of his Mosey and waking himself up, then cos he was awake he wanted food!

being having quality family time with Kian and dh.
    have i missed anythimg
everyone all still set for tues?

    Yep yep!
I've ordered Jack a swim nappy in a bigger size from John Lewis cos it's free delivery to store and I know I'm not likely to go to TC anytime in the next few months so thought I'd have it ready for when he needs it in a few months.

Well, I managed to put Jack down AWAKE in his cot for a nap and he's been down for about 45 mins which is really good but he's awake now, probably wants a bottle NMS what do you think? :rotfl:

Oh thanks - OH said Milk but I don't like it! Would be OK to wash my fingers in it though!

NMS - meant to say that Jack's cot is in our bedroom

Carla - as long as you only give stuff that is labeled as from 4mths there won't be any added salt or sugar, just compare labels generally but with baby rice its usualyy just rice and maybe some added vits & minerals

although I'm in the wait until 6mths camp so I say give it a week and see if his feeding settles again before jumping to food but that is just my thoughts :)

  • Glam are you sure he's not hungry. Give him some food and he'll drop on to sleep in an instant, never cry, and his poos will smell like roses!!!! :rotfl:

Ah, Liam was about the same age as Jack when he went in his cot, but his is in his own room (we both wake each other up, not hubby, he can sleep through anything) We did have his basket in the cot for the 1st few weeks, I though it might be an idea but Jack has already been in his cot, so maybe not!

Carla, sounds like he's ready to me too! Liam shows not interest at all in us eating, is still satisfied with 6oz bottles every 3-4 hours and sleeps through most nights, so no signs of hunger.
