Has anyone else felt like this? Does it get easier? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Yes and Yes!
EVERYONE has felt like that and yes it absolutely gets tons easier if you can just get through this bit.
Can you try not to let her feed on the nipple cos you'll make yourself sore and then it will hurt even more. If you can possibly bear it take her off and try and latch her again getting a big mouthful in there, its very hard at this stage as they don't open their mouths wide for long so you need to be quick and try again as many times as you need.
If you are sore then I can recommend Lansinoh nipple cream, its complete genius.
Have you tried the 'rugby ball' position? some people find that easier although I found that i couldn't see her well enough to know whether she'd got a good latch in that position
Are you sure you know what you should be looking for from her latch? if not ring your midwife or one of the breastfeeding numbers I know I got confused about what I should be doing/looking for at first.
Good luck and congratulations, it does get easier-enjoyable even if you can just persevere through this learning bit.MFW Start Sep 07 £79484, Now £587740 -

i just had my lunch, a toasted muffin with a poached egg! OH works sunday so i dont bother with a sunday roast cos it would be served too late. and as of next week i'll be working sunday and he'll be at home with seth! if i do a roast its normally on a tues/thurs when he's at home cos he takes charge of seth while i cook. i havent decided yet if its going to be OH's duty to cook when i work, seeing as i've been cooking when he's been at work
i'll probably carry on doing it though, he throws oil at everything and doesnt "do" MSE cooking  example - he made me a bacon sandwich in the week, and used a WHOLE PACK OF BACON when i would have used half!
weezl those look fab!!Mummy to
