Em - I did look back but can't see, what's happened to poor wee Seth?

SM - Could you maybe ask on your local freecycle if anyone has age - 7/8 or whatever size Zoe takes, girls clothes they no longer need etc? I bet people are gutting out wardrobes etc right now and won't mind, and you can just keep what you like?

I've just read back a couple of pages and it sounds like everyone needs hugs, so pick a hug (or more than one) from the following...

    1) husband not being understanding
    2) poorly babies/children
    3) poorly mummies and daddies
    4) scared mummies waiting for daddies to come home
    5) scary driving experiences

    Has anyone heard from SugarSpun?

SM - oh, that's rubbish. I didn't realise Tesco sale was so pants :(

3tobe - I was seen 34 wks, 36 wks, 38 wks and then had an appointment for 40 weeks and 41 weeks, although I didn't need any of those as she arrived at 39 weeks (first thing in my life I've been early for :D). Even if your midwife won't see you, do you have a midwife drop-in clinic that you can attend? There is one each Tuesday at our local SureStart Centre, so I don't know if you have something similar near you?

Em - I don't know you if you allow Seth to have juice, but would it work dissolving it in water, then adding a bit of juice to take the flavour away? Juice is quite sweet so it might make him more open to drinking it?

  • Hiya ladies - 10 pages since I logged off last night. I will try to catch up as I iron.

Have spent all day tidying and cleaning. Did the whole of the upstairs, ignoring the tip that is downstairs and then SIL turned up unexpectedly this evening when my ironing pile is strewn over one sofa, there are presents and wrapping stuff all over the dining room table, and I haven't bothered to clear away Benjamins toys yet  If I had spent the day making downstairs sparkle nobody would have turned up!! We were having dinner at the time too - frozen pizza and oven chips! It is my night off cooking

    Oh well.

Having a quick scan it seems that Ben is getting a bit better, YAY! But Seth is poorly - boo! Hope he gets better soon Em.

We have no snow in Wolverhampton, at all!! I think everywhere is snowed in except us! I can still see the green of the field at the back of the house. Hope it doesn't turn up tomorrow.

does it need to be hot water MM?

i dont even know if i will be able to get a syringe near his mouth :undecided
when he was on antibiotics i had to strap him in his car seat with his arms trapped under the straps to do it and he still spat it all out!
Sorry your little one is ill, what about giving him the tablet in jam or similar make a spoon with the tab ground in and a spoon without, switch between the 2 spoons until finished, no idea if it'd work but i've seen enough young mums shove a dummy in jam to know kids like it  lol nearly went for a rant,
