Thanks Glam - Fairfield is close to my parents so he's calling them in the morning. They offer an up-front, one-charge sort of deal which is wonderful.

I've found them very good to deal with and know that they always have appts within a few days - in work we can book NHS patients in there and there are always appts for NHS patients available quickly.

Hopefully it won't cost to much and FWIW I would tell the admin in the hospital he's in now to go and whistle for the money especially for today!

I'll be having words with administration and with my HoD, who will talk to internal medicine and organise something. We can't be too obnoxious though or else they'll just take my paycheque :o
hope you get him sorted SS, but can he travel with the open tube ??

It'll be bandaged and covered up - only a body search will find it. He's safe to travel, it's just a bit unpleasant to look at.

I kept a dropper from some infacol. I measure out the 2.5ml then sook it up wi that. Other than that just tip it in when his mouth is open. I wouldn't mix it with milk or anything personally.

Hmmm, is £85 (inc postage) a good price for a used loola missing the bumper cover and with the clip to hold it together when folded broken a good price?

    yeah but this is BIN...

I don't even know why I want one now, I'll still be using my pram for a good few weeks. I should walk away and wait till everyone is desperate after Christmas.

ETA, off to do the dishes then have a shower.

Jillie - I think Krystal mentioned soaking the corner of a flannel and freezing it. I got some cooled boiled water, soaked half a muslin in it, popped it in a freezer bag and put it in the freezer. When Jack has sore gums I take it out wait 10mins to get rid of any freezer burn and he quite happily sucks in it! Also, like I said the other day Dentinox Gel is fab cos you can apply it every 20minutes if you need to!
Jack sits there and sucks it off his gums! :rotfl:

I am going Monday so if you are definitely going I'll see you there but if you aren't sure then I can meet you Friday.
excluding acts of god/terrorism I'll be there

Tia I think thats too much seeing as it's missing bits/broken

SS - if thats a no go, OH's Gdad was in the spire for a knee replacement and they were fab!

    all else is forgotten!

Chris was doing quite well today.... until he decided his bedtime milk would be better used on his hair!!:mad:

OMG Kirsty bought a 2nd hand basket for £8 - you could so get a new one for about £4:p :money:

Hi Feelie, hope you and Toby are ok:)

Calpol, I just give it off the spoon, slowly, bit by bit.

Tia - Do you think the prices will drop in January. I am never sure if people are more desperate before christmas or after? I love the Loola and was so tempted by it myself:)

Sami - Well done getting the passports sorted, I hope they get them sent out quickly for you! We were in Liverpool yesterday. I had to wait for two hours until my cheque was signed so we went to explore L1...I didn't realise it was sooooo close to Primark and TK Maxx.....I think it is deceiving as the entry for the parking is right out by the docks!!

SS - Your story gave me shivers....how awful, I do agree if you are paying that much you might as well get private care!!

Right nipping over to pregnancy thread to ask about leggings and then off to wash my hair and find out why DH is banging about in the attic trying to wake the kids:mad:
