 The 'M' word. How quickly were you living together?

We were married about seven months after we got together - and I was pregnant at the wedding

Sometimes I think you just know. He's loud and messy but he has so many good points and I'd be lost without him.

I'm glad it went well MOTM :)

    SM, what a nightmare!

AM, that's all great news :j

    BM, welcome back!

Sami I think you can use the one-week service but not one-day for a first child's passport. We were going to do that with Molly's but hers isn't straightforward because she's non-resident and only one parent's a citizen.

    MM, how's Dylan?

Where's elle this morning, did I miss her?

Jillie, I'm sorry it's so hard for you and your ILs, :grouphug:

Weezlie, how did your meeting go?

Hugs if I missed anyone :grouphug:

I'm glad I missed all the sick talk - bit ironic cause I was busy getting puked on at the time.

    Apologies for my strop

MOTM - I'm glad you had a nice time and if you do really get along and like each other I also see no problem with things moving along quickly:)

I moved in with dh 2wks after we got together (although not really 100% our decision) we then got engaged 2mths later and have now been together for 15yrs, married for 7yrs:D

    No apologies needed :)

2 weeks! :eek:Still, yet more proof it can work though, happily.

Marriage and pregnancy mentioned in one morning. I've enough kids for now and i'm not looking at a wedding just yet. It's been 24 hours :rotfl: Although it's made me think. What if she wants kids? :o

:rotfl: I know you said your OH is loud and messy but getting puked on is a bit OTT ;)

me and DH met on holiday!
i was with my friends and he was with his. we met on his 2nd last night although we had met his friends previously. then he went home to Manc and i went back to Ireland. i rang him first. he was just starting in the RAF (wanted to train to be air traffic controller). we wrote and phoned all the time. and after weeks in RAF training, he left. he left cos it was major hassle at the time for him to visit me (security checks, register at police station etc) and he decided that as he wanted a future with me he had to leave RAF. we spent the next few months flying over each month to spend a long weekend together. i moved over here 11 months after we met. (10 years ago 2 Oct) we got married 4 years later.

didnt mean to scare with passport,s but at least twice a year in the shop we get someone kicking off cos they have left it too late to organise either their kids or their own passports. and for some reason its always the shops fault

i'm changing mine at the moment to my married name and its a nightmare as the photos for an irish passport have to be larger than UK ones so when i got them form the Kodak shop i had to cut them myself. just hope they are correct. once i get mine back we're sending for Kian's. It can take upto 6 weeks to get Irish one back from London!!

A slow burner in comparison. You got there in the end and now have offspring, so all is good :T
lol we actually met through my boyfriend at the time too :o
I think the times sound long but we are young, we would have had to get our parents permission to get married if we'd moved as quick as MFD or SS! :rotfl:

Don't worry Jillie - I've just called and made my appointment :D we're going on Wednesday for the 1 week service, just txtin' my mum to ask her to get someone at work to bring their pp in 2mo and sign the form for Ed and then panic when I rush to find my marrage cert (I know exactly wher it is but I know as soon as I look I won't find it coz I'll be stressed!):rotfl:

I think the moral of the story then, is that time is irrelevant. It's whatever feels right.

Or whatever your kids want :o
