My fairies say you're welcome, and that marzipan potatoes are a most bizarre German tradition.

MOTM - I agree with MFD (remember she is a wise woman;)) I don't think you will get to know each other's personalities from the first date, which you will will both be totally nervous on...whereas the second date you will have gotten all the awkwardness out of the way and will be more relaxed and possibly more 'yourselves' you will have a better idea of whether you both want to keep seeing each other and that would be the ideal time for her to meet the girls:)

OMG the rain has started and it is torrential

If MFD is a wise woman, she's around at the right time of year ;)

As my previous post, I appreciate the outside view. It's not that I hadn't thought of it totally, I guess I don't want to let the girls down, now they are getting hopes up :o

Must learn to be a little firmer :o Especially as I will likely mess it up anyway

Don't think the rain will go away. The wind picked up again last night as well :o

I feel a bit sicky Mel is all :( Tired and headachey and achey, and Husband has gone to do grocery shopping and left me with the cleaner and the cranky baby, double :(

The way to punish him for deserting you, is to hire a naked male cleaner.

That way, he may decide in future not to leave you stranded :D

((hugs)) Could be worse, you could be doing the cleaning;) Hope you feel better soon:)

I actually don't mind cleaning and probably wouldn't hire a cleaner. I love having a nice garden though, BUT I HATE, HATE, HATE Gardening, so does dh, I think we only mowed the lawn three times in the whole of this year:o I think once finances are sorted in the new year I will make finding a cheap local gardner a priority!!
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.
  • Morning all - just popping in quick to say hello. DH (and his hangover) is with my dad at the allotment, and my Mum has taken Izzy off for a walk to see if she will sleep (she doesn't always in the mornings, but we are off to a birthday party this afternoon, so probably won't nap all day if she doesn't this morning :( ), so i'm going to make the most of it and push the hoover round and wash up. When did my life get so exciting!

I hope everyone is ok :)

SS - welcome home :) Things I remember are 3's birthday, MM had an interview that seemed to go well, lots of marital arguments, some 'making up' ;) Ed has a cold which he's passed to other babies :o errrr... oh best news AM has got a new flat near to the beach and her fun gay uncle :j

German's love marzipan don't they. I think it's gross but I do love a spot of german gingerbread, must get a bit from aldi!

I would, MOTM, but our cleaner needs the money and is very fast and very good. I want to keep her.

Edit: but she always takes up the alphabet mat and I always have to put the booger back together, which takes HOURS :(

  • SS - Hire a naked something else :D

Good cleaners are hard to find. Good anything is hard to find, so you're doing well to keep hold of her :)

Thanks Sami - Happy birthday 3! Well done MM! Booooo to annoying husbands and Yay! for making up! :( to poor Ed and double :( to him passing it on! Yaaaaaaaay!!!! for AM's new flat!

I think marzipan is lovely. I'm so Germanified - marzipan, lebkuchen and I'm sitting here with a big mug of sage, vanilla and honey tea. I also only cross roads when the green man is present to assist my crossing :o

Mel, I missed your post there. I hate cleaning and love that we have a cleaner, but if we had a garden I would fill it with lovely veg.
