Weezl, I should, but I didn't! And now I'm so worried that the award will be cut and I will loose my carers allowance. Even though he is 'worse' than he was when we were awarded middle rate (worse because at his age now he should be doing more, talking and toilet trained, be bale to count to 10 recognise colours, know that roads are dangerous etc).

Got me cerebra guide, a big notpad and a pen. Had a pear for energy.

But I'll still take all offered treats and hugs for moral support :D

So how is everyone else? I'm going to be rude and not catch up, sorry.

Oh and anyone who uses crackers at christmas, asda have silver ones down from £5 to £2.40.

And another moan, we didn't get the highchair I wanted. Went to local independant place, they only had the display one left which was a bit scratched. Asks if they would take money off, no. Box? no. Will you atleast take it down so we can carry it up the town centre? *huge annoyed sigh* well, it might get broken but I suppose I'll have too! Me, yeah you know what, seeing as doing your job is too much hassle for you, you can shove it up yer backside then you've got something to sit on!

  • Well it's only been agreed by my boss as a high level plan, but hopefully we can get organised in the new year! I'm nervous they will say that three days a week isn't enough to do my job, but I'm confident with the right team working for me it is, so we will see!

Tia- I hate 'sales' people who can't be @rsed- umm, hello, it is your job!!!

Elle- it must be strange to have things so up in the air with your job. At least you know you have one or the other to go back to...when do you think you might go back?

SM- we have no consoles! I tell OH he doesn't have time for them.

Is this the first time you've renewed it, Tia? Do they faff about with turning down renewals and stopping money and all that nonsense? :(

On a selfish note, when ours said "..until 16th May 2011", does that mean we get renewal forms shortly before then? (and none inbetween) :o

I've told them I'm going back in May (or shortly after if I tag some holiday on). Thankfully I have savings to cover the three months unpaid :)

They've agreed I can do my KIT days whenever suits - although I think they daren't ask me and they don't believe me when I mention in passing that I'm willing to do them now  - and *ahem* amend the records so that they're down as done in the unpaid bit and pay me for them then ;)

We don't have any console either :)

We were awarded low rate then I called up and requested a form to be reviewed as he was needing more help. So our renewal is due in April 2010 (when he turns 5). So you can expect your renewal form say Nov 2010?

I think they would try dropping us to low rate, which is why I'm so worried. I hate them I really do! My friends neice who has the same as Chris but on her left side (and has mild epilepsy) gets high rate mobility and care and she is about the same as Chris. Just shows how unfair it is.
  • Hello all. I did introduce myself a few weeks ago when I was looking for some breast feeding advice when I was still pregnant ( I am the one who had breast cancer a few years ago and wanted help re feeding with 1 breast only).

Well, I now need to introduce you to David (can you see him in my avatar?) - he was born 2 1/2 weeks ago and is a little angel. He wouldn't latch on initially so we started to cup feed him and syringe feed him hand expressed breast milk. He still isn't fantastic at latching on but he has more feeds than not now via my breast :j

I *think* I am now finding my feet with this motherhood lark and my DH has been a sweetheart. He says that it is my job to look after our son and his job to do everything else! I have forgotten what the oven and washing machine look like  Long may it continue!

Anyway, enough of my rambling. I look forward to getting to know you all better

Congratulations Hammy, and Hi David :) Well done on the feeding - how big was he?

I've found him, he had gone to his mums. LO is fine :D

Thanks for all your hugs/kind words, sometimes it's just nice to know you have friends *looking out for you*

Phew! I read your original post, then had to skim through really fast to see if you had posted again! DH storms out every so often, but knows not to try and take Izzy with him - we are having a very clingy phase at the mo, and he is not (always) good enough, poor old DH.

Hugs for Mel too - sounds like we're all having fun with our men. DH and MOTM you'd better be behaving yourselves ;)

    Beccles, Have a fab evening!

NYE - no idea. We're having a christmas party on the 19th, and are going to have an "open house" on the sunday after christmas, or maybe the bank holiday monday. Not sure which.

I'm making the most of DH still being in the pub - I'm in charge of the remote control, so I'm watching Jamie. DH hates him, so we don't normally watch. I have to be in the right mood, but he isn't annoying me today - he is cooking things with tomatoes. I couldn't live without tomatoes, and it's good to have some ideas!

  • Anyone got any ideas what I can put on an itchy c-section scar, or do I just have to leave it?

Tia- good luck with the form. The whole process sounds pretty rubbish.
