  • a quick question, if I may...

what is going on with the sizing on baby clothes????? David started off in newborn but his feet wont fit in sleepsuits anymore but the size 0-3 months are way too big for him???? I have a selection of clothes from all the shops but nothing fits him. He has been bought several snow type suits for wearing out in this cold weather but even the newborn ones drown him!

Is my baby a freak size  (probably best if you don't answer that!)

    You sure you wanna know?

Me and DH had an almighty row before anyway he stormed off upstairs on to the effin computer, so I took LO up too and asked DH to have him, he wouldn't take him off me, cue another arguement. I put LO in his room so I could have a cry on my own as I don't like him seeing me upset. Anyway DH decided to come have another go ate, I told him I was p1ssed off, he couldn't understand why and then told me he was off and taking LO with him. That was 2hrs ago I dunno where he's gone or anything. He won't answer his phone? As he walked out the door he said "have a nice life".
The thing is at the moment I couldn't care less about him but I need to know that my little boy is safe.

Hugs Dora :( I'm not sure what else to say, but lots of love from me xxx

:rotfl: If yours is, mine is too! ;)

I was comparing vests the other day and found Asda 9lb the same size as Tesco 11lb, and M&S 9lb14oz (odd choice!) to be smaller than both of them!

Rhys is now in Asda 12lb and Tesco 15lb. The Tesco sleepsuits are a tad baggy in the leg cos he can pull his foot up inside to where his knee should be - he looks a sight when I unzip the sleeping bag in a morning! - but rather that that his toes permanently curled up! :o
  • Welcome Hammy! David is almost the same age as my LO, Henry! Well done on the breast feeding.

Elle- that is such a sweet thing to say, and so true.

Rmac- not sure what we're doing. We're going back home to stay over New Year, and I know MIL would love to babysit NYE if we went out for a drink but I don't think I want to leave LO. May pop out for an hour as it would be lovely to catch up with people but who knows?

OH has gone to work for the night so I'm on my own now. Somehow it's scarier being home alone with LO at night than all day. Fingers crossed it's not too bad as I've got to do it tomorrow as well!

Oh ((hugs)) Dora, I'm sure he will keep LO safe and has probably just gone to family or a friends house......Have you phoned anyone's house to see if he is there?

I see it has bee very quiet today. We ended up having a huge row because we went into town, parked up, got to Argos only to discover dh hadn't brought his wallet out (needed his card for refund) So had to go back to get it, of course he started blaming me for him forgetting it (common theme in our relationship:mad:) A combination of financial stresses me being hormonal and him being in the middle of meds changeover is making for a very unhappy time at the moment.

Apart from that I have almost finished changing the dining room around, and have got the wallpaper and paint for the boys room........couldn't really afford it but.......

Hello all. I did introduce myself a few weeks ago when I was looking for some breast feeding advice when I was still pregnant ( I am the one who had breast cancer a few years ago and wanted help re feeding with 1 breast only).

Well, I now need to introduce you to David (can you see him in my avatar?) - he was born 2 1/2 weeks ago and is a little angel. He wouldn't latch on initially so we started to cup feed him and syringe feed him hand expressed breast milk. He still isn't fantastic at latching on but he has more feeds than not now via my breast :j

I *think* I am now finding my feet with this motherhood lark and my DH has been a sweetheart. He says that it is my job to look after our son and his job to do everything else! I have forgotten what the oven and washing machine look like  Long may it continue!

Anyway, enough of my rambling. I look forward to getting to know you all better

    congratulations and welcome

Ahhh, David does that too - he looks like he doesn't have any legs :rotfl:

    Ooooh welcome Hammy and congratulations:D

NYE - We have stayed in for years now, we can never find a babysitter our parents aren't very forthcoming with babysitting and our babysitter (my sister) is all growed up now and has been going out on the town herself for the last 6yrs. We will most likely just stay in again, although I am not that bothered about it, we don't really ever get the chance to go out together so would have been nice to have the option.
