angelicmary85 wrote: »[/CENTER]I phoned the helpline and they told me to wait until the renewal date in April but I basically want to know if I can put a minus number in for the money I've earned so far this year? The story goes like this...I went on hols just after the financial year ended/began (whichever way you want to look at it) then onto maternity leave so I will have taken a full 39weeks leave during the financial year which obviously means I get to dis-regard £3900 from my income. My problem is that I won't have been paid that much by the time April comes again so not sure what I'm going to say to them! I am also going to be dropping to 12hrs (works fault, not mine!) but I don't know how much I'll earn so I'm not sure how if I should tell them that or just leave it! HELP!!Anyone else with any thoughts are more than welcome to join in with this conversation!!Sarah could you please put me down for another £10.00 today! Thanks for the totalising!!Hope you've all had a fab day! x
hi angelicmary
more or less the same thing happened to me.i told them straight away that my earnings were dropped and that i would not be earning xxxx amount for that year.they were very helpful.told them what my average wage was going to be and then they amended my tax credits.only thing is at the end/start of the next tax year you may have been overpaid/underpaid.in my my case i was over paid by £90ish which i paid back.hope this helps.0 -
