Well this is my fisrt post on here in agessssssss and sadly its not about anything good! I have worked at the same place as a manager for the last 18 moths, I saw advertised a job for a manager of a "local" store and as it was nearer to home and better money I went for it. Hmmm unsure on any recent case law re this.

You may want to try to get somewhere due to the the contract being agreed and your actions in resignation showing sufficient justification to claim compensation via (for example) payment in lieu of contractual notice but your hand is not a strong one I'm afraid.

The lesson here I guess is never resign without having the new contract in your hand. Did they just never send you one?
