If you work you get wages, working tax credits, all your child maintenance and you keep your child tax credits, child benefit.
You ALSO gain a ground floor job, from which you can likely advance through the company, gaining greater responsibility and incremental salary increases while you are there. You will also be able to contribute towards a pension, to ensure that when you no longer have your child living at home, are no longer eligible for various benefits (CTC, family allowance etc.) you will have progressed far enough up the payscale/responsibility ladder that you will be alot better off financially.
If your daughter is sick to the point where she needs special care and a carer - are you claiming DLA for her?0 -
