Best auction ending days/times?

Hello there

Very new to ebay and was wondering if the more experienced ebayers had any suggestions on the best auction ending days and times please.

I put a load of items on yesterday and I am now wondering whether I should have chosen the day/time better.

Thanks for any advice.

it's odd, but for me I can't even give stuff away on a Saturday.

I think though it depends on what you are selling. For me the best days are Sunday through to Thursday evenings, excluding Friday and Saturday.

i make sure that i list my items in the evening - and then they end in the evening - this is the best time because most people are home from work and online! if you have an item ending in the day, most people will be working!!

    good luck

I find it doesnt matter when they end. There are people who go on the net in the day, some in the evening, some only at weekends, some in the middle of the night, some first thing in the morning etc etc. So whatever time you put them on it will be someones time they usually look at ebay. People will put a proxy bid in anyway if it's something they really want.

Since Feb I've been selling lots during the lunch hour. That way I got people on their lunchbreaks in work, and the people at home when the kids are in school.

    However....

...the sun came out a couple of weeks ago (honestly it did!) and my sales dropped dramatically! I now list so that they end Monday to Thursday after the soaps and before Big Brother comes on.

I do 10 day listings which start on a Saturday evening mostly. That way there are two weekends for people to see the listings.

Oh yes, I've always found I sell more in the winter than in the summer and an amazing number of people are on ebay on xmas day (thinking no one else is on there I suppose).
