I dont normally spend more than £30 on shoes - and only then for ones which i am going to wear a lot, for heels etc i normally try for under £20, but like a lot of people i usually time shoe buys with sales etc, so rarely pay full price - next sale is my fave - usually get a vip slot and order several and end up keeping one pair.

However, the wedding shoes i want are £82:eek: and i dont know what to do, i adore them but havent found anywhere to try them on - but having tried lots of others on this is the style that would be most comfortable on my feet, planning to dye them purple so would be wearable again, but i cant yet bring myself to spend that much.

    they are these

You only get married once..£82 is not too much to spend on a pair of shoes especially if they are comfortable and you can dye them so that you can wear them again. If it is too expensive..join in the make £10 a day challenge over on the DFW board..that will help you make enough money to buy them.

Oh and like Horace said, I'd buy them if they fit and are comfortable!

Your wedding shoes are really lovely.

I love those ruby slippers, but you can't buy them online :(

Back to the topic of the thread, I am wearing a pair of purple shoes I already owned (something old) during the ceremony, wedding breakfast and first dance then changing into gold flip flops for the evening reception (I am also changing my dress). The purple shoes cost me £25 from office a while ago and the flip flops were from accessorise although I can't remember how much they cost.

Being a size nine (i'm 6ft1 tall) means i've always had a pigging nightmare buying shoes - its a lot better these days with more shops stocking bigger sizes -in a range of styles- but it means I HATE shoe shopping. So the prospect of having to get some 'special' ones for my wedding ......... forget it.
Its going to be some cheap ballet pumps in white. No one will see them anyway!

The most I have ever spent on a pair of shoes is £40 from Clarks, when I was a guest at a friends wedding. However, the other night, my husband-to-be came home from work with my wedding shoes in his hand! He had spent £89!! I think he bought them because he knew I loved them, but I would never have spent that amount of money on them!
