Cost of wedding shoes

Ill happily spend £60 - £70 on a pair of trainers as Ill wear them to the death.
Posh shoes I only spend £30 max on as they get worn very very little and I dont see the point!
Got my wedding shoes for £25 which I was well chuffed with

I do not buy cheap shoes, but I do buy good shoes inexpensively.
I actually have never bought shoes in the "UK. I always wait until I go home to the US, as I think they are way too much here and I can plan out my shoe buying. My best shoe deal was $500 italian leather boots, hand sewn the whole shebang for $30!! I was pretty excited about those.
I usually buy my shoes at a shoe warehouse that has good shoes at discount prices. Then I bring a coupon. I wish the UK had more coupons!0 -
My wedding shoes are from Phase Eight and were £50 in the sale, down from £85. They are ivory satin with a diamonte brooch thingy and I'm trying to think of somewhere where I could wear them again because they are beautiful, doubt it somehow!
Running trainers are usually £80, boots £100 and shoes about £30+. Unfortunately non-leather shoes tend to bring me out in blisters so I have to wear proper leather ones.Cos I don't shine if you don't shine.0 -
Got two pairs of pink sparkly shoes (heels and flats) for £20 each. I really didn't want traditional 'wedding shoes' and my feet are too wide for a lot of the mass produced shoes anyway, plus hardly anyone will see them under my dress so going for a bit of sparkle when they do peek out!Married Ajichombo on 17th April 2010 :j0

Not married, but the most I have ever spent on shoes is about £40 (for Converse back when they were super expensive), and the least is £4 (cheapy Primark ballet flats!).
Oldest sister's wedding shoes were New Look and cost about £20, other sister's wedding shoes were Manolo Blahnik and cost God knows how much, but she did dye them black afterwards so they'd be more practical."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -
i love shoes

i quite often buy expensive shoes...but at a good price
I think the most expensive I have were about £60 and the cheapest £5 (and I love them, they are small heels in a kind of tartan but is hot pink and lime green....they are very eye catching lol)
as for wedding shoes...I never wear a pair of shoes only once, so they will get work again, thats why Id rather spend a bit more and get exactly what I want than end up buying a cheap pair I wont love
I have my eye on 2 pairs at the moment, either a pair of gold irregular choice shoes which I think are £69.99, or a pair of faith ivory shoes with a metal heel and inset crystals that are £85
But I am off to the clothes show in december where I normally buy a few pairs of gorgeous shoes so Im going to look there to see what bargains I can find
Married on 5th March 2010still lurking on the wedding board tho :rotfl:0 -
I'm more than happy to pay for decent shoes, BUT, when it comes to my wedding shoes, I seriously begrudge the £60-70 bridal shops charge, for shoes that will be worn once and won't even show!
I think I'll end up with Next shoes - their bridal shoes are £25-30 and look really pretty online, though I need to have a look at them in the flesh.
My most expensive shoes are actually a pair of North Face walking boots (£120), but when I walked up and down Helvellyn (Lake District mountain) and my feet/ankles didn't ache at the end of the day, it was worth every penny.

i bought mine from elengant shoes for the bargin price of a £10, plain ivory satin, they were in their sale, had a heal and once I got into the hotel after the meal I took them off and partied in my stocking feet! Cleaned up nicely with warm soapy water and a toothbrush!0

I dont normally spend more than £30 on shoes - and only then for ones which i am going to wear a lot, for heels etc i normally try for under £20, but like a lot of people i usually time shoe buys with sales etc, so rarely pay full price - next sale is my fave - usually get a vip slot and order several and end up keeping one pair.
However, the wedding shoes i want are £82:eek: and i dont know what to do, i adore them but havent found anywhere to try them on - but having tried lots of others on this is the style that would be most comfortable on my feet, planning to dye them purple so would be wearable again, but i cant yet bring myself to spend that much.
