elfen, perhaps you need to specifically ask for the sort of advice you want? i think on first reading your inital post seems to be a moan about him? If you hare having trouble in him seeing you need more help from him, perhaps you need some sort out couples counselling?

What are those little yellow/orange plastic triangle thingies that you see on the wheel nuts of trucks for?

rjc - i know what you mean, i think some people try and understand something when its hard to.
And scaredy, it is a sort of moan about him,as I'm sick ofhim and his reticence to do anything that doesn't involve either "pub" "beer" or getting his own way.
And it's really hard not to get upset when I already am

They are little plastic arrows. We put them on our nuts ( wheel:D) with the little arrows pointing towards each other.
If the arrows begin to point away from each other, the nut may be loosening. This can be v serious as it could indicate a broken wheel-stud and could lead to wheel-loss.

When a wheel is changed, the vehicle should be stood ( or driven for a very short distance ) and then the nuts retightened to a specific torque ( the twisting force needed to acheive the correct nut tightness) for optimum safety.

    Tight nuts= good:D

elfen, maybe you should go and speak to someone by yourself? It may help you to decide what to do which is best for you. I know that it's hard to leave someone then you have been with them for a while, but , to be frank and honest, is it worth it to stay with him?

You need to look after yourself first. :grouphug:
