Problem with OE6, help needed!

I'm using a Dell with XP and OE6. I have a Netgear DG834GT and Norton anti-virus software. Until yesterday, everything was hunky dory. Thanks everyone. I did what a lot of you suggested, turned it all off, updated software etc and other stuff I didn't understand.

Today I switched it back on and it seems to be working fine, so once again Thanks for all your help, much appreciated, far better than reformatting the HD!
