saabs are built like tanks but the suspension and engine parts suffer coz theyre heavy vehicle's.

Yes they are built well. However, the engine department was run by School children who used crayons to design things and playdoh to build them. They truly are a disgrace...!

Advice to everyone wanting a Saab: Buy a petrol one, preferably the 2.0T Aero. Economical, fun and dont go wrong.

    AVOID the bleeding diesel 1.9...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Legally it looks like you have a contract of sale tbh, but if you told them no I don't want it keep the £100 then i'm 99% certain they would just give up and stick the car back on the forecourt (they would have had to do the work at some point anyway)

Easiest would be to say you don't like the idea of all this work needing to be done, what other cars have you got, they still make a sale and someone will buy the saab at some point anyway so all is fine.

No, the saab needs work to bring it into a saleable condition. The cost of that is down to the dealer in any event. The only thing over the deposit they could chase the OP for is loss of profit and I’d be staggered if they bothered.

OP….if you were happy with the saab when you agreed to buy it what has changed? I can’t see that them doing work to it before selling it to you is anything other than a good thing as it improves the condition of the car you are buying.

Sounds like a good dealer to me.
