paid to unlock nokia so why is it asking for a code?

hi guys,

i paid £15 to unlock my boyfriends phone (though the woman tried to increase the price after) but i have just tried it and it is asking for a restriction code.

I was just wondering if this means it is unlocked and i just need a code or what. Its on virgin and moving to o2. i tried my virgin sim in it and the virgin bt on the menu is gone but other than that im not sure whats changed.

I'm not sure it has been unlocked, after i tapped in my N95 8GB code i got from vodafone, it said SIM restriction off, at which point i could put in any sim card i wanted.

Did they put in the code for you, or did they just supply you with the code it will look like +pw+123456789+1

the woman in the shop took it to a warehoure and they supposedly had to do something overnight. It is one of the bb5 models (i think thats right) and i phoned her last night but she didnt phone back.

im going back with it after work today but was just looking for advice. I didnt think itd been unlocked but somethings happened to it.

Try using a sim card from another network (if you have one)....just as a test...

if it a non-3g phone and you are trying to use a 3g sim it might not work
