Next dont acquire details or send catalogues out unrequested

she must have either filled in her details online, or entered a competition instore - there is no other way for them to get your details to send a catalogue - they arent into coldcalling

Just ignore the invoice, they'll never chase it (in fact my friend who works in finance at Next says they write it off automatically after a short time of not being paid).

The quickest way to deal with it is to phone them up, tell them that you didn't order a catalogue, are not paying for it and want the account closed.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)
  • Thank you to those of you who actually listened to what I said about having never filled in any details online or in store.

Having to pay for a call to cancel a catalogue that was never ordered seems offencive. As I said, my major concern was that they had obtained her details or been given them by a third party.

However this happened the email to next has worked.

    This matter is now closed.
  • I know not specifially answering the original question but this is related to the problem of being charged for unwanted / unordered Next Directorys:

I ordered something online from next, and saw on my account that they had charged me for a next directory which i didnt request. (I had ordered the item to be sent to my local store so that i did not have to pay the delivery charge). I rang them to say i had been charged for a directory i did not request and they immediatly said they would remove the charge from my account. I only had to wait for a few seconds before i got through to someone when i rang up and the customer services person was very helpful.
