It suggests Sainsburys & Waitrose here:

    http://www.pickleodeon.co.uk/distributors.html

but then you have to contact sainsburys and waitrose to see which store local to you stocks them

True, but I imagine there's a reasonable chance that they'll be in the larger stores.

Looked for the value ones in Tesco today and they were all out, typical.

I loooved the Branston ones but they do seem to have completely disappeared. I don't find Haywards as nice.
However after reading this I will try Garners - are they in all major supermarkets?
If you can’t beat your computer at chess, try kickboxing.:rotfl:
  • Garners are in all supermarkets, but not all stores stock the full range. The shallots are gorgeous - not worth pickling your own they are so good!!!! Onions and eggs also in the range - don't know about beetroot, gerkins, etc.

I have had this happen a few times. Their production machine must make errors when filling jars sometimes.

I wanted to say a big thanks for the recommendation of Tesco value onions.

Lovely sweet crunchy silver skin onions at 31p a jar - I've already gone through 2 jars in as many weeks!

Having also just bought the M&S onions on BOGOff I have to say they were tasty but very soft.
