Coming to end of Sky contract (also about HD)

Hello all.
Next month is the end of our Sky deal and at the moment we are on the full package plus Sky Talk and the free broadband and it comes to something like £48 per month.
I've had Sky at my old place but that was living at home so I never sorted out the bills etc! Are they still offering cheaper deals to those who 'want to cancel'?
Also is Sky HD worth it? I've seen the offer of the free box. We have a 37inch tele and people have told me that anything under 40inch makes HD more or less pointless...

Im not one of those that wants everything for nothing. We watch enough of SKY and use the free internet and calls to warrant paying the £48 odd quid a month but be warned, unless I didn't do things right, they wont be offering anyone any deals to stay if you say you want to cancel!
Called yesterday saying it's costing too much etc and the bets thing they offered was the brilliant 'take away sports and Movies to save yourself money'. Looks like the ol cancel the contract thing don't work these days!0
