anyone still waiting for windows 7

I bought an Acer desktop in August with the free upgrade to win 7. Anyway had email last Friday 23rd saying my credit card had been debited with the £12.78 handling fee, however I am still waiting for delivery, I emailed them about delivery but no reply. Is anyone else still waiting for their upgrade to arrive?

No, but I am waiting for a patch to stop Windows Explorer crashing intermittently! Maybe I should've waited till SP1 is released...

You paid for it to be delivered??? strange as I didn't have to pay a thing......though I'm still waiting....I got an email on the 22nd saying its been sent and will be with me in 10-15 days

I don't really care as its free
If you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly

had no choice - went thru acer which is the manufacturer and thats what it came up with. bought the laptop a week earlier - couldnt wait until the release of win 7 the following week, as old laptop had died and needed one to do work on. i didnt think £12.78 was too bad tho - its cost people more than that looking at various threads. and i got a good deal on the laptop

Or maybe you have installed something that is causing it??
  • Same here, still waiting.
Bought a Acer laptop through the monkeys at PC world 3 weeks ago.
Got home, followed the links through the Acer website, and into windows 7 site to get upgrade.
Had confirmation last week £12 has been taken from my card, and nothing since.
Am I being impatient, or is anyone else still waiting?
