jennyo - if you want to see savings rates for savings account, go to moneysupermarket.com , where you can compare them all in one go, instead of going to each bank website.

As well as Barclays, LTSB and Abbey accept driving licence on it's own too (just checked their website for you).

Just read the website I posted above ^, you could use a provisional driving licence if you are under 20. If you are not under 20, you can't use it. It depends how old you are.

Just curious, do you have a passport?

Sadly I am not under 20, I was once, i don't have a passport, although have been considering getting one.

I don't understand NatWest's logic with that, you don't need to send ID in for a full licence and why would anyone bother forging a provisional licence???

I've never understood the logic behind it also.

Please note that Natwest/RBS don't accept provisional driving licence as ID. The others do.

If you are going to Natwest/RBS, then use another form of photo ID, or don't go there to open a bank account.

If you open a bank account with Barclays, a drivers licence on it's own is fine.

RBS do, im with them and i used my provisional driving licence to open my account
