    morning everyone.

I'm back from my lovely trip to Ireland visiting my sister but the drive was a killer-8itch, but I'd do it again in a flash to visit them again! That said, I've said I'll try the plane, train and taxi next time I want to go over.

Sally, I sympathise with the decision you have to make. We had a dog when when I was younger and (with the rose tinted glasses of time) it was wonderful. We each had to feed her, clean up after her, walk her and generally be responsible for her... even when we were poorly. It's strange, we were talking about her in Ireland and how much our parents sacrificed to keep her, buying the special food she ended up needing, as well as the monthly vet bills and annual injections etc. I think if I were to get another dog I'd speak with a vet about potential breed problems and likely costs in it's later years (as well as injection costs etc.

I'm having a quiet day in today, though if the delivery arrives soon I'll likely head to White Rose for some christmas inspiration and see if the Estee Lauder deal is on over here as well as Ireland!

I am a mardy cow right now...feel like I am slipping into a depression and I have too much time on my own so my mind is on overtime....

I just wanted to share that by the way, I don't need sympathy and I don't think there is anything you lot can do except just be here for me....I just didn't want to pretend to be sweetness and light today......:o

Anyway, moving swiftly on, I would love a dog but mainly for the company but having a dog (from experience) is like having a baby that doesn't grow up! So that puts me right off....would be lovely for Chloe and she is desperate for one but I can't even cope with the bloomin rabbit....no hope for a dog.

I am trying to work but am using a crappy lappy with 512mb of memory and its sooooooo sloooooow

Bess, they sound like one of those companies you have to pay? Better calling CCCS or, erm, what's the other one..?

Sammy, I know you said you don't want sympathy so just hope you are OK and you know you are free to be grumpy here! x

Sally, I'd love a dog too. Is your hubby on JSA? Because the PDSA might help with vets bills while he is, then obviously when your finances improve it'd be down to you. I read on the RSPCA website ages ago that a medium sized dog needs less exercise than a small dog, it just needs one or two decent walks a day, whereas little dogs are always on the go. A lab would probably count as a large dog though. If you look on the RSPCA website I think there's loads of information for if you're thinking about getting a dog.

Spud, you wont look horrible in a dress!

I'm nearly out of flavoured coffee, and Whittard's in town hasn't had any in for ages, they're expecting some in 'the next few weeks'. The website's out of stock too! So I'm looking on ebay. So far lots of funky mugs and teapots and things for me to resist, but no coffee.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
