it seems there are lots of people suffering in one way or another (((hugs))) to all of you and I hope you all find some resolution to the problems / pains

up early again as once I wake I cant settle back down , problem is once I'm up I make a cup of tea and eat several biscuits with each cuppa :o and thats before my breakfast.

plan for today: need to go shopping, there is a discount food store not too far away and they sometimes have incredible bargains ( seconds or surplus stock I think) you cant guarantee what they have but its so worth going

managed to get the grass cut yesterday and sucked up a mountain of leaves too, I need to tidy the beds and it will look lovely

hope everyone has a great day xx

Working Fridays should be illegal - it just feels so wrong! Any back to my normal Mon-Thursday next week so it's just a one-off.

Had a (planned) KFC for tea last night as we start our first grocery challenge today - i'm so excited its ridiculous! hopefully i can maintain my enthusiasm :D

Although the KFC was a treat I still felt slightly peeved that it was a waste of money and there was nothing OSMS in the experience! On the plus side its pay day today (:T)and even after a 5 week month there was money left to transfer into the christmas savings last night :j

And my DH rang me at work yesterday to say he'd been 'thinking' (always a bit dangerous;)) and he said on saturday he would help me with the 'big shop' and we could go to lidl first then go to tesco to see whats on offer than finish off in asda....... he was so chuffed with his brilliant idea i didn't have the heart to tell him i'd been doing that for 3 weeks :rotfl: Bless him!

    Have a good day!

    Mornng all,

Looks like it will be a nice day here, I have a load in the wm which I will hang out once its finished.

I think dd and I will be off to Ikea today, to have a look at bedroom furniture for her, she has third hand (i think) stuff in her bedroom, and its getting really old and tatty now, just need to look at the map and see if we can find our way

So os today will be a quick tidy round and hoover this morning, washing on the line, and dinner tonight, I think its omlettes, but need to check the meal plan.

My chutney has not thickened enough  (again), and I have run out of cornflour, so need to get some more today, and re boil it.

Jackie good news about the new baby :T

Piglet, glad your mum's op went well xx

Jayne, I am glad you are managing to eat something, it really doesn't matter if its hm or not xx

    Morning all.

Sorry so many of you seem to have disturbed sleep one way or another. That's one thing I really can't handle is lack of sleep. I normally wake up to find 2 cats staring accusingly at me - like they are going to drop from starvation if I dare have a lie-in!

The turkey yesterday proved to be a bit of a bargain. It was £15 (half price at Mr T) and it did a pot roast yesterday, plus I have bagged up enough nice bits for 3 more roast dinners and enough not-so-nice bits for 3 curries/stir fries for the 3 of us. I'm sure other OSers would have stretched it further, but DH and DD like their meat, so I don't dare skimp on meat for them. Plus I have a nice pot of stock to make soup with at some point - that will probably be another 3 or 4 meals, and I'll probably use it for lunch for me at work. The skin and giblets have already done the cats 2 treats each, and there are another 4 bags of cat bits in the freezer too.

Not sure what the OS bits of today will be, but I need to finish off tidying the craft room/junk room/office and then do the bathroom, en suite and cloakrooms.

We've had our estimate through for the windows, and if anything it's slightly less than I'd expected so we'll try to get that done asap, as the VAT goes up Jan 1st, and that would put another bit on top of the estimate.

Off for some brekkie now - see you later.

Diva & Bitsy - thank you for your good wishes for DD2's 18th yesterday. She had a really lovely day which I was pleased about as last year's was not happy. Our dog had been unwell and we had a phone call on her birthday to say that he had a terminal lymphoma. He died just over a week later. Still miss him a lot, the house is just not the same without him.

Anyway, another early morning wakening means an unenergetic start to the day. Not sure what OS bits will get done, will have to report back later!

    Morning all :hello:

Sorry to hear that lots of you had rubbish sleep! I often suffer myself, but slept like a log last night due to moving house!!

We'd hired a van which DH drove and had my Dad, brother and uncle loading and my aunt and I loaded the cars with the stuff to go over to my Mum's (who had cunningly chosen this week to visit my sister in Wiltshire - a coincidence I think not :rotfl:). We're now in the lovely quiet house I grew up in (no more unsavoury sounds from the neighbours below at 4am every morning) and woke up this morning to find Dad had left us a note saying to help ourselves to toast etc bless him :A Am going to cook him dinner tonight by way of a thank you.

Now just need to get back into the swing of things OS wise. DH and I are going to do a Tescos run tomorrow afternoon (not our preferred time to do it, but hey ho) so I will be meal planning like a demon tonight :j I actually prefer to be more organised I get a bit panicky when I don't know what's on the list for the next couple of days...

Hope everyone has a good day - ooo yeah meant to say to the lady who is being woken by her neighbours (Hester I think??) I cannot recommend the latex earplugs from Lloyds chemists enough. DH and I have been using them to drown out the unsavoury noises listed above and they really do work. I've always heard the alarm through them though - which is odd now I think of it...

Anyway, apologies for the haphazard message (it's only ten past nine and I'm ready for my bed again!), hugs to all

    xx

wait in for sky repair man - again:rolleyes: they replaced the box on Tuesday and by Wednesday it wasn't working again:mad: fingers crossed it goes better today!

    bed changed, washing in machine

house cleaned and tidy already(was up early in case sky man came:rolleyes:)

butternut squash and red pepper soup to make

    shopping list to do

    grocery shopping later with DH

thats about it, unfortunatley I'm working all weekend - Sat, Sun and Mon but never mind - it pays the bills.

have a great day all x
    Do what you love :happyhear
  • Good morning everyone, though by the sounds of it, its not so good for some of us so *hug* for those that need a little encouragement!

DD has just woken so this will be quick.

I have finally regained my sense of smell after 10 days without it - my house honks! Why didn't anyone tell me? Now I am going to have to spend the day trying to make it smelly nice so we can enjoy the weekend in it!

Yesterday was a NSD as my friend bought us hot chocolate and cake when we were out. Well, it was almost a NSD, I gave her 80p for the car-park, I already had a parking voucher thingy. ;) Need two more trips before Sept next year to get our moneys worth on it.

    Have a good day all!

Good morning all & hugs to those who are under the weather or suffering from lack of sleep.

Lazy start here due to being up in the night with DS1 & DS3 coughing - they stayed asleep it was the rest of us who didn't :p Not many plans really today as I'm going to see my friend who has Fibromyalgia and Rheumatoid Arthritis and is having a bad flare up at the moment. I'll see if she needs anything doing while I'm there. DS2 is at the doctors later having his booster of Diptheria, Tetanus & Polio I'd forgotten all about the boosters now that they're all older so was shocked to get the little yellow slip through the post :o

Dinner this evening is hm meatballs in tomato sauce & spaghetti. The meatballs were made a while ago & frozen so it's nice & easy. WM been on & I'll try pegging out as it looks ok so far.

Have a good day all :D
