I have not asked my bank anything yet.

Normally when I pay for things a description appears

I have 2 payments with no description

    29 Oct 2009 POS - - 51.95 -
    29 Oct 2009 POS - - 54.99

The 54.99 is from play.com as I ordered the product from there which cost 54.99

    the 51.95 is from amazon.

    Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your email. On Amazon, we just handle the processing and shipment of the item, Amazon handle the payment part of all orders, so if you feel you are outstanding a payment, drop them a message through your account and they'll advise on any monies processed and the status of any refund. Apologies we couldn't help any further.

    Regards,
    ADMI

If you go into the bank the teller should be able to tell you where the money went - they can get quite concerned when you say you don't recognise a transaction, to the point at which once a teller spent a half hour on the phone tracking down who the payment was for me.

Reply back to amazon after you confirmed it's the seller and state that you're confused because you received an email stating your card was declined, but the transaction has actually taken place on so and so date.

If you can get the teller to write down on a bank slip that the payment of x was made to y at z time and date you should be able to scan that in for amazon and if you need it for small claims or whatever.

I think market place sellers use amazon checkout and you get your refund through amazon.

    I think.

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.
