Clasics wrote:Am I right in assuming the Fosters included in the 3 for £22 offer at Asda are 20x 500ml? If so, I think we have a winner! That would work out at 73p/litre! :beer:W1zz wrote:Is it 3 for £22
Just checking the Asda website and the multibuy offer is 6 for £44
47p a PintClasics wrote:Yes, the 3 for £22 was advertised on the TV last night. Assuming the Fosters ARE 500ml, wouldn't that make the price per pint 41p :eek:W1zz wrote:On Asda's web site it's say they're 15 * 440mlW1zz wrote:https://www.asda.co.uk
Multibuy - 15 * 440 = 2 for £19.66 (ends 10/07/2006)
Multibuy - 20 * 248ml = 6 for £44 (ends 13/06/2006)
Unless it's an instore promotion only
Why have you shown this info for STELLA ?

Lidl have some good interesting prices but I did not have time (or a pen & paper) to make a note of them; Becks, Carlsburg and soime others I think.
But can I also add a note regarding the price comparison please? I realise that it will cause some anxiety re imperial versus metric but can we keep it to price per litre rather than can, bottle or even pint?
It makes more sense to price it this way as there are so many different sizes by unit and outer pack out there. All this is meant to confuse the poor old consumer in to believing, like my neighbour this afternoon ,that they just bought a deal when they clearly hadn't!0 -

I'll put down my tin of Stella and get mi coat. :rotfl:0 -

I posted these earlier - see #40
LIDL
A very good offer...
Carlsberg - 8 x 500ml = £3.89 - that's only 97p a litre
Not quite so good offers
Boddingtons - 4 x 440ml = £2.29 (£1.30/L)
Beck's - 4 x 500ml = £3.49 (£1.75/L)
Carling - 6 x 500ml = £3.49 (£1.16/L)
Stella - 20 x 250ml = £6.99 (£1.40/L)

anyone know if those mini kegs are resealable. I seen one at Lidl today for £8.99 (can't recall brand name but have had same thing in cans ......... maybe had too much then). I didn't buy the stuff as I was cycling and well its too big to hold and drink...no ok back to reality... wouldn't have got it in the bag. The instructions were graphics rather than written and I wasn't sure how much of a deal the 5 litre keg would work out as if it wasn't resealable as it wouldn't be getting drunk on one day. Seemed to have a thing indicating that a turn on the top would do something but just not sure how permanent.
Must admit that I bought the "not so good deal" on Becks (4 cans for £3.49) but that was more of a case of wanting some German stuff today that I haven't had for a while.0 -

Last time they had these on offer it worked out cheaper to buy the same lager in regular cans.0 -
Somerfield are doing "Any 3 for £10.00" on:-
John Smith's Extra Smoth 4 x 440ml
Stella Artois Loage 4 x 440ml
Beck's Bier 6 x 275ml
Foster's Lager 4 x 568ml
Kronenbourg 1664 6 x 500ml
Carling Lager 8 x 275ml
or you can have Foster's Lager 8 x 440ml for £4.99
Strongbow Dry Cider 8 x 440ml for £4.99
Kronenbourg 12 x 440ml for £7.990 -
The Foster's offer is completely eclipsed by Asda's 40 for £16 or 60 for £22 offer, tbh. The £22 offer works out at less than 37p/can or 83p/litre or less than 47p per pint. Really don't think it can be beaten currently...but I'd love to be proved wrong, of course!I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0

Are asda doing 60 for £22 on Miller and if so is it bottles or cans.
I seen an ad somewhere that said 440ml bottles but the bottles are not 440ml0 -

Unless ASDA have extended the offer I'm sure the ending date advertised on the "2 for £16 / 3 for £22" promo banners was June 13th.
So I believe the offer doesn't exist anymoreThere are 10 types of people in the world. ‹(•¿•)›(11)A104.28S94.98O112.46N86.73D101.02(12)J130.63F126.76M134.38A200.98M156.30J95.56J102.85A175.93
